My DH has to watch his sodium so we don't eat out much. I rinse my canned vegetables and don't add salt to what I cook.

I watch my sodium, and looking at those labels are so discouraging sometimes you just can't believe them.
A great article and a great topic! Salt is essential to taste, but it really doesn't take much. It's so easy to overdo. Thanks for the reminder.

I think we often have very little idea how much sodium is added to our food. Much more than necessary, is my personal belief. I choose not to add extra except for a few items. I am guilty of grabbing the pepper shaker however.
