Reading your posts I get a feeling you have had many physical and emotional ups and downs. You have many friends here to support you. Take it easy on yourself and give your body and spirit time to heal. I know turning to food is one of the things I find myself doing when something is out of quilter. Finding the cues and replacing the ingrained behaviors have been, and remain a struggle for me.
I wish you well soon. Keep doing the things you do for self-care and never forget you have a great deal of support. Only a message away. HONK HONK HONK

I hope your doctors are taking good care of you. I read the update about your health and I wish for you a quick fix of the breathing problems.
Thank you for such important article. I really think that 99.9% of the time it's the emotional hunger that gets us to turn to comfort and unhealthy foods.
Very rarely I eat because I'm physically hungry (because I do eat filling foods all the time).
Learning to cope with our emotions NOT with food is the key to LONG TERM success of weight loss!
I'll celebrate 10 years of maintenance on July 2nd, 2014!

Lisa~Do you have a friend you can talk to about how you are feeling? Can you vent here with your spark friends? I also tend to hold it all in and eat uncontrollably when I am an emotional wreck! I find as soon as I have purged to someone and let all my worries out, I feel so much better! Sometimes you need a "vacation" from everything including your eating plan as long as you can get back on track. Sometimes that is the hard part. I am trying desperately to get back on track right now 100%. I'm still not there but I am trying. Lisa, if I can help at all I'd be happy to!

Right now I'm an emotional mess. I have so many things going on both physically and emotionally. I can identify the feelings but no matter how much I breathe, talk or write about it I just continue to freak out inside and have been eating like there's no tomorrow. I'm tired of it all and wish I could get a handle on things. I need a vacation! I don't know what my answer is. HELP!
