my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 105 pounds.
i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.
we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal
Hi JUSTME and welcome to the team. It is surprising how quickly making just a few small changes can improve the way we feel and our attitude. Your hubby sounds a lot like mine who is a carboholic. We don''t call him "Mr. Donut" without reason.

Hi, JUSTME! I know what you are saying. I too lost my cravings for most of the junk I used to think I couldn't live without. My hubby is one of those people who is going to eat what he wants to eat and that's the end of the story I used to use this as an excuse for my eating the wrong foods and the desserts, but excuse time is over for me. I use the Nutrition Tracker faithfully, every single day, and it has kept me honest with myself and accountable for MY choices - because what I put in my mouth is my choice The other BIG thing that keeps me motivated and encouraged is this Team! I have met so many wonderful people on this team and the support you get is phenomenal! It's like haviing your very own squad yelling

One suggestion - you might want to think about creating your Spark Page so that people can communicate with you and send you virtual Spark Goodies for encouragement and friendship along the way. This is a very caring community and you can't believe what receiving a Spark Goodie like 'a round of applause" or a "rainbow' can bring to your day!

Well, I have been tracking my food since day1, and I learned that I was eating too much. It is not easy being married to a sugaraholic. I decided a week ago that all of that junk was leading me down the wrong path. I already knew that, but for some reason I could not resist.
I decided that was it for me and I have stuck to my plan!
After six days, I do not even crave the sugar. Yay! I feel better, too!
