I use Leslie and I have just found Jessica Smith - both are great. I love the 'walking' aspect - so low impact but a great workout!

Thanks for the reminder to get out those walking dvd's and dust them off
Although this winter in MN has been so nice have been walking outside
Do not walk nearly as long as I need to being caregiver to DH he can only walk so far before he gets tired and has to quit do not like leaving him alone
Have a couple 10 minute exercise video need to get out too
One day at a time

I have her 1 mile, 2 mile(diabetic) and 3 mile dvd's I have not used them for some time, I guess now is as good a time as any to get back into it. I also have some Tony Horton 10 minute trainer dvd's, they're pretty good too. And they really are just 10 minutes. I really should get back into it.

My downstairs is on a slab, so I don't like doing the walking on that floor, so if I do, I will use my little re-bounder (mini trampoline) to do my walk. I've heard that using one of those is a good thing, but can't remember why.

I do the walk Away the Pounds DVDS but also have her 10 minute toning tape and like to do that first once in awhile. I don't know if the later versions of her program come with the exercise balls but that is a feature i like as she incorporates them into the walking. I can't brag about my coordination at first when i am facing her. I have just started using my tapes and have the Sparks DVDS also and a lot of old ones, Richard Simmons, etc. I prefer walking outside with Morgan too but yesterday was not easy walking, too much ice and water even tho i wore cleats so today i passed. Don't need any broken bones for spring. Can't wait for bare streets and avenus so we can go safely. Sorry I don't post often, having a time getting to everything in a day!

I get exercise dvds from the library. That way I don't have to pay and can vary the workouts because when I have to return them I get another new one, Biggest Loser, Walking, the Firm, Prevention, Kickboxing, etc.

I have started using the 4 mile and 2 mile everyday "Walking Away the Pounds" DVD. I am determine to lose this weight & lower my cholestrol without pills.

I also use The Walk Away The Pounds system. I also rotate them for variety. What I have noticed is that I really lose the inches when I stick with her dvds. The weather has been nice and I am enjoying walking with my husband and dog. I do the dvds when the weather is cold, hot or raining. The Heart Healthy Walk is my favorite. I ordered the Biggest Loser DVD from Amazon. It is also very good but the workouts are high energy and I feel more intense. I believe that it is not what you do but that you do something! LOVE the Leslie dvds! Perfect winter workouts, I don't live in the city, so it's way too time consuming to go to a gym...besides I love working out in the privacy of my own home, only the dogs watching ; )
I buy every one of her dvd's that I find, that way I switch them up, so I"m not listening to the same comments every day. I do wish they'd add them to the fitness tracker exercises, but I'm not really too concerned about how many calories I've supposedly burned--I just know how hard I've worked, and follow my nutrition guide/calorie count quite religiously.
27 lbs in 3 months following this program! emoticon

I use my heart rate monitor. A "regular" WATP is about 100 - 110 per mile (for me, a 150-155 pound female) and the "enhanced" is about 20 to 30 calories more. It will vary for each person.

Hi Unicorn, I have used weights at times kind of like the bands but i agree will increase the calories. When tracking exercise how do you get credit for the extra calories burned when they have a set amt for each exercise?

You can always increase the calorie burn by exaggerating the moves (make them bigger), by using weights instead of the firm bands, or my using heavier weights. I have even added weights when using her DVDs that do not use them. I just need to do them more often so they can do some good!

Hi there, I use walk away the pounds Leslie Sansone Advanced walk 3 miles (46min)and Walk Strong which is a 2 mile (35 min) but also has strength training which I also have a 4 mi one and one for the waist but dont use those as much.
I agree 30 pounds is overwhelming but yes one day at a time is all we can do I still struggle with eating to many calories i think i do good but when they get added up is over! Dang
with our SD winters these DVD's work good and gives you a good workout i think.

I also love the walk away the pounds dvd's great in South Dakota winters. I am just getting started again to lose extra pounds so using them alot. glad to hear you like them to they do work!
I don't find them in the list of exercise so just try to find something close. I have 30 pounds to lose so will maybe take me awhile.

I have been using the "Walking Away the Pounds" DVD. I love it. I try to use it everyday. I lease try to walk the 30 minutes 2 mile walk everyday. But I have worked up to 4 mile 60 minutes.
