I hear ya!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has problems taking a "rest day!"

I don't have a "rest day" as such, but I DO have a "light day."

My challenge is to take my rest day without feeling guilty. I find it hard to relax and often overtrain leading to fatigue and high stress levels.
Did heavy weights and cardio last two days and now having the rest day.

Good job! Now how about posting the next (reasonable) challenge for someone else to tackle. To keep this challenge going the person who accepts and accomplishes the dare posts the next one.

20 minutes of stretching

WOW! I had forgotten all about those elementary exercises. We did them back then, never realizing that they might be more of a challenge later on in life. They sound like a great way to start every day, as soon as I get out of bed. Thanks for mentioning them!

You guys are motivating me .... I have no cardio or strength training scheduled today but I am going to do a 30 minute circuit - using the stationary bike and my stretch band. I am going to warm up first and meet your challenge doing some arm circles and toe touches like we used to have to do in elementary school. Also remember the one where we had our hands at our shoulders and then straight out in front, backto shoulders, straight up, back to shoulders, out to side, back to shoulders ... you get the idea.

My challenge to you all is to do 5 minutes of stretching or yoga poses. One standing, one sitting and one lying down. I find I am not as flexible as I used to be and the stretching poses really help that.

I am new at this but I am 57 in need of losing 30 pounds. It just kept creeping up and I lose it only to gain it back. Fortunately I am in pretty good shape and like to exercise. I ate a boiled small pumpkin today. It was about a cup worth. So I took the challenge to eat more fiber. It was yummy but it does make you gassy! I still need to do my 30 minutes of cardio but I started late today doing this. Am on my 5th glass of water. Teenage boys home soon. Must make dinner. BTW, I live in Russia.

Jumping jacks is an excellent challenge for those who are able to do them, and so are the lunges. It is just that those exercises are beyond MY ability at this time. Hopefully I will be able to do them in the future when me knee replacements are healed. Had one done and must schedule the other.

I tried the wheelbarrel move and challenge the next person to a yoga move called "Legs up the Wall". Lie with your back on the floor, your butt as close to the wall as you can make it, then legs up the wall. Ideally your legs should be at 90 degrees.

Well, I don't have an exercise ball. But, I've tried something different. I joined the SP Official 28-day Bootcamp Workout Challenge. I'm now on day 5. Part of the challenge is to do the 10-minute video workouts each day. I dare someone else to do a 10-minute workout video. (Let us know what was involved)

I was tempted to try the wheelbarrow move with the stability ball (I have done it before) but was afraid I would not be able to get back up without putting my knees on the floor. It is not recommended for me to kneel on the knee replacement, so I chickened out. I did bring the ball in and get as far as getting my stomach onto the ball but chickened out as no one is home to help me if I lose control of the ball.

To do it, you lay with your stomach on the ball and your hands on the floor. Try to put your legs out straight behind you. Then walk forward with your hands until the ball is beneath your ankles. Then walk backward with your hands until your stomach is once again on the ball.

Since I did not accomplish it I will not post a new challenge.

Good for you Sharon!! WOO HOO..

I took your challenge and tried squats with a stability ball. It's easier on the back, however I need to work my way up because of my knees. I did 2 sets of 10. I'm going to try doing 3 sets of 8 next time and work my way up. They recommend 3 sets of 15 so I have a way to go...

I challenge the next person to give us a new exercise using an exercise ball. Please share so I can try it too!!!

Delicious!
2L of water downed by 7:35pm.

I dare someone to eat 4 vegetable servings on Tuesday.

Is that how it goes?

Hello all,

I'm new and on a 'staycation' so I have much more time to read/post. :)

I'll take on the 8 glasses of water = 2 L for today

So far I've drank 750ml... bring on the 1,250 other mls. Bring it on!

Do I post tomorrow's challenge once I've drank the 2L?

Some of you have been requesting a new challenge so here it is. One person will set a dare and the first person to accept that dare then posts a new dare. Let's be reasonable in our challenges. So here is the first dare to get us started.

I dare someone to drink 8 glasses of water today.
