Three pounds could also be normal body weight fluctuation (women, I am told, can fluctuate up to 5 or 6 pounds in a day). Another possibility is water weight gain if you are expecting TOM. Just hang in there, and I believe the treadmill qualifies as cardio so you could try going on the treadmill 2 times a day if you are already doing once a day (even if it is only for a few minutes).

Yes, we have been there. Water & salt intake could be the blame. Our bodies try to hold onto water if we aren't drinking enough.

Another thing could be inaccurate scales. My old one would vary by 3 pounds just getting on and off. My current scales go haywire when the battery is going low.

Stay with your program. Whatever moving you can do without overtaxing your health is good.

In the end, the choice you make makes you.

I think we have all been there. I weighed myself Saturday and then this morning(my weigh in day) and I've gained. I think mine is due to too much sodium yesterday. Life is a roller coaster, don't give up.

Thanks, The only thing is I have Emphezema and I can only do so much in excerising...I do walk on my treadmill everyday and I have excerises that the hospital gave me to do. So cardio stuff is out of the question for me...That is probably why I'm not loosing the lbs. so fast...But I will keep on it and do the best I can...It just bumed me out to see that 3 lbs come back!

It has absolutely happened to me! I just went through a time where it seemed like I couldn't lose and even gained a few lbs. I seemed to be doing everything okay, I was eating in my range and exercising but it would not go down! I upped my cardio and that seemed to do the trick. My walking had gotten to where it just was not making my heart rate go up as much. I added a 3 mile Walk Away the Pounds video 3 times a week and I finally lost last week. I am a little nervous about this week but we will see. My cardio is definitely up so I think that will help. I have also been very careful about my calories. I think maybe I had gotten a little nonchalant!

Hang in there, stay with your plan and maybe up your cardio. Make sure you are not eating too few calories as well as too many. If you go to low your body will try to hang onto those lbs. because it thinks you are starving. Try varying your calorie count, low end of the scale one day and higher the next.

emoticonOMG I gained 3 lbs back...How disgusting!
I sure don't know what I did wrong but I need to figure it out and quick! I just wanted to cry when I looked at the scales this morning. Has this happened to anyone else?
