I am hooked on my Green Juice! Kale, spinach, cucumber, celery (just a couple, it can be overwhelming), a good handful of cilantro and a pear! Whoo hoo, at first I hated the grass clippings juice as my family calls it, but I've tweeked it into a very refreshing and healthy tasty drink!

We have a big garden and tonight I juiced broccoli, tomato, celery, beet, spinach, pepper and some parsley and basil. I wish I had left out the beets - I think I like them better when I am making more of a fruit juice with veggies.

I am boring I think. I almost always do the same base
1 head romaine
1 lemon
chunk ginger
1 apple
1 large carrot
1-2 celery stalks
Then I add things from my "odds and ends" container from the fridge where I keep the stalks of broccoli, carrot ends, bottoms of lettuce, little bits of greens that need to be used, ends of zucchini, scraps from turnips,etc. I am inspired to try different things now.

The juice dinner has been going pretty well. Your "chocolate juice" sounds amazing. I will definitely be trying these suggestions this weekend. Saturday trip to the Farmers Market!! I am still getting used to just the vegetable only flavor, so I used coconut water but it made my juice much too sweet when I use it along with fruit. I am working my way up to straight veggie juice. Baby steps.

mmm juice for dinner sounds wonderful. The only suggestion I have is to stay away from sweet juices late in the evening, otherwise you might stay up late due to the sugars..

Veggie juices are great, you can make tomato+basil+celery+spinach
carrots+spinach+celery ( aka chocolate juice)
cucumbers+ beets+ carrots + parsley

oohhh.. I can go on forever .. don't be afraid to experiment, just keep your greens and spices low in the beginning. Many blessings to you!

My new Nutribullet was delivered yesterday. So I ran to the Farmers Market before they closed and bought spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, green apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, ginger root, carrots and pears. (Yes I went overboard) Tried one combo last night and it was not so great. But I drank it for dinner and I wasn't hungry. I think the problem was that I put garlic in it. Too spicey. My goal is to replace most dinner meals with a great juice drink that will fill me up. I think maybe I need to get some berries and sweeter fruit to make it taste better. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Juicing a soup recipe - 4 carrots, bunch of celery 1/2 onion, garlic, bell pepper and 4 tomatoes. It was great as a soup - and will be even better as a juice.

Today was an experiement... I had a grapefruit, bunch of kale, some red leaf kale, celery, ginger, two small gala apples, heart of romaine lettuce, 3-4 leaves of collard greens, half a bunch of turnip greens, carrots (tops off)... think that's it. It's a little tart... not as amazing as I think my stuff normally is... but it's okay. I tried to save time this morning by using the Champion to masticate last night, so I only had to press this morning...did save time, but I took that time and slept in a little :/
Looking forward to organic melons coming in!

I had to come back and post this, as I was making this juice I thought how much more greens I am using now in my juices, so please keep in mind that my recipes I am using on days 70+ of juice feast. If you are just starting out, please do use as much greens as you able to tolerate. I really don't want anybody to try one of my recipes and think that they are too strong and don't taste good and as a result think that they can not do this program. Use only as much greens as your body is accepting, but make a point of juicing at least 2lbs of greens a day. This is a FEAST, so enjoy your juices!

Fruit juice of the day:
3 granny smith apples
3-4 stalks of celery
1 bunch of parsley
0.5 bunch of kale


Night veggie juice:
3 small beets
4 young carrots
0.5 of medium napa cabbage
0.5 bunch of dill
0.5 bunch of parsley
2 garlic cloves
0.25 of sweet onion
I call this my borsh juice. so so yummy ;)

I don't really have a recipe, I just juice what I have on hand and today it was

orange, green apple, cucumber, ginger for drink #1

celery, carrot, turnip greens, green apple, orange juice for juices 2 and 3.

I am leaning towards getting me a grapefruit or two on the way home and juicing them for the first time for the final drink of the day.

I am seriously addicted right now to :
1 pineapple
1 bunch parsley
5 stalks celery
and a bit of kale if pineapple is too sweet.

Juice Feasting Juice of the day #1:
1/2 cucumber
5ozs lacinato kale
1 oz parsley
8 carrots
3 granny smith apples. So filling it shocked me!

Juice Feasting Juice of the day #2:
8 oz freshly squeezed pink grapefruit
Juice of 1/4 medium lemon
5 ozs celery (2 stalks)
9 ozs red chard (2 large stalks)
4 ozs cucumber (1/2 medium)
8 ozs jeruselum artichoke

Juice Feasting Juice of the day #3
5 1/2 ozs green chard
3 ozs red leaf lettuce
2 small fuji apples
1 oz wheat grass juice
2 stalks celery
4 carrots

2/14 Juice:

8 carrots
1/2 cucumber
1 gold beet
1 granny smith apple

This was a simply beautiful combination. The golden beet added flavor but didn't overpower the combination. To be used again for sure.

Great idea for a thread! I've seen the golden beets at the store but haven't tried them yet. They are going on my shopping list for next time!

This morning I had an awesome veggie juice with the following:

1 beet with greens
1/2 cucumber
1/2 each red and green bell peppers
1/2 tomato
2 leaves kale
1 stalk celery
Handful of spinach
1/2 lime

Can't wait to see more delicious recipes from the group!!

I use enough carrots to make a quart of this yummy recipe. Depending on the size it normally is 6. Sometimes I use a golden beet which gives it a milder beet flavor.
