Good luck to everyone this week!

I've been doing the work (tracking my food and exercising a lot), but just haven't had the time to post much lately. I really need to post a blog about where I'm at and what my plan is moving forward (mostly to help clarify it for myself! hahaha!). Will try to get it in soon! Hope everyone is doing well!

I've been quiet the past couple of weeks. Trying to take a little more time to myself so I'm trying to limit doing too much at night from the time I get home to when I go to bed, which is less than 2 hours. Therefore my SP time is down to the bare minimum. Not even keeping up with emails. Weekends have been busy trying to catch up. In a way it feels good, sometimes not. I think it's just that I've hit the wall after the last few months and need a break. I'm really tired and worn out. I've plateau-ed a bit but staying consistent is ok for now.

Glad to see everyone's doing well on the challenge and meeting their goals. Keep up the good work!

Good morning everyone!

I haven't been around much--simply because part of my Lenten discipline this year is to limit my computer use and I have some stuff I need to do on the computer each day, which is taking up a lot of my allotted time.

I had a great week this week...finally! I hope all you did as well! Good luck and don't forget to record your weigh ins!

Yes, great job everyone! I feel a bit behind because I barely got any exercise in last week (although still more than the week before!) when my mother was visiting. But, this week WILL be different!

Yes, I to tend to work on one thing and let others go. I have a lot of activities at church and work. There are times that Sparks and weight lose are an escape from doing other things that I need to do. Juggling all that we need to do seems like a job in its self.

Yes, I think I tend to do that once in a while. I'm a believer in that you have to be in the right frame of mind to diet and make a lifestyle change. And then when you need to focus hard on other stuff, like work, it's just too much for me to handle sometimes. It's terrible to have to pick and choose and some days it's really hard. Therfore, if I'm not in the right frame of mind for food and exercise, it gives way to what I really have to do at the moment. Or vice versa. I don't know if that just made sense but in my head it did. Just a long day with work -- I gave the accountant all our EOY stuff so it's now officially out of my hands until I have to answer for the mistakes the bookkeping gal screwed up. Don't get me going on that. So now maybe I can focus on a little more activity in my day.

OTTERMOMMY, yes, if you don't mind. I was going to ask you, then I thought I wouldn't bother, but now that you mention it, I might as well take you up on it! I'm still leaving my official ticker goal at 160 for now, but mostly that's because I don't want to feel like I'm "done". Eventually, I still want to drop a little more or at least replace a little more fat with muscle, but like I mentioned below, I plan to take it real slow from here on out (as in a fraction of a pound per week that I won't be recording until I reach a whole number). I'm pretty much where I want to be right now and since I've upped my calories to basically maintain, I guess it makes sense to put me at goal. Thanks!

Speaking of being at goal, while I was working today I noticed some work stuff that I've really put off for a long time. It got me wondering if some of my "commitment" and "focus" on weight loss for the last 9 months has been a weird way of procrastinating working on some other stuff? Has anyone else out there done that: focus so much effort on one thing to avoid another (even if it is for something beneficial, e.g. weight loss)?

Sorry I've been absent for a while. Mom is still here, which means that I haven't had ANY opportunity to exercise. Ugh! Oh well...she leaves tomorrow and I plan to get at least a short workout in tomorrow night.

MPLSKEN--Do you want me to do your points as if you are at goal?

Thanks!!!

The challenges sure help me keep on task. Although, I'm probably not going to do too well with the current challenge. I think I actually over-exercised last week and am now feeling it in my feet. So, matching my minutes is going to be tough, let along increasing them. With how this challenge is structured, I definitely didn't pick the right week to overdo it. I'm going to focus on strength training this week and do some more of those videos from the January Jumpstart Team/Challenge I was in, but I doubt I'll be able to make up the difference. I probably just need to take a day or two off from walking/running/elliptical, but in my head I feel bad if I do. I have streaks to maintain! LOL!

I am soooo proud of you! You've done a great job. Keep up the good work! Personally I think your body is probably craving a little more since you've upped the calories a bit so it's probably saying feed me feed me. Hopefully maintaining won't be that hard for you. I know you can do it.

I've kind of narrowed down the eating thing with what works and what doesn't for me. I've been staying within my range pretty good. Some days tracking is really hard and I know I might miss something but I figure if I track and it's at the lower end of the range then if I miss something I know it won't be too high in calories to bump me way over. And it's not that often that I forget something.

I'm having problems with the exercise though. Not enough time in the day to go way over what I've been doing to see results. I guess sitting here eating lunch at my desk and attempting to do some SP stuff (with what I can access on my work computer) doesn't help. But if I don't I don't have enough time at night to do both my SP and emails without giving up more sleep. This challenge is helping but I'm not sure I'll be able to go 10% over (for max points) because that'll be in the 45 minutes a day all 7 days. And then there's two weeks left. Hmmmm....maybe it'll be a jump start . . . . sounds too much like work!!!!

It's so good to hear that I'm not the only one stuck in 2011 (work-wise)! I, too, MUST finish up this week. It's really weighing me down mentally, so I guess I best get to it!

Today was my weekly weigh in, I was down a half pound, but I only track whole pounds, so for now I'm still the same. After having a Bod Pod assessment done last week, I realized that I'm actually at a decent, healthy weight now. So, I decided I am going to work on maintaining and/or losing less than a pound a week. Hopefully, this will also start to give my skin a chance to catch up to my weight loss. I upped my calories significantly and ended up having 4 events that all involved eating, so I am very glad that I didn't gain anything over the course of this week.

Oddly, since I have upped my caloric intake, I've actually been hungrier?!?! Not sure what that is about, but this is making me think maintaining could prove to be more difficult than I expected.

I know the feeling. Seems like end of year last year just won't go away....and it's mid-February. I'm hoping to finish all my stuff this week (real close to being done with the last of it) and work on regular work for a change. And then work a little harder on the exercise challenge. This plateau since the EOY is driving me bonkers.

Hey all! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and sparking along on this challenge. I've been SUPER swamped since the end of 2011 (I don't know if I ever got a chance to post in the January chat thread, but the challenge was fun and helpful)! Even though I haven't been posting lately I've still been tracking all of my stuff and exercising. I've actually had a ton of stuff to talk about, but just no time to post or blog about it. Boo! Hopefully, I can make some time real soon. I know the chat threads from OTTERMOMMY's 2011 challenges have always helped me along and that's where I've met some of my favorite fellow SparkPeeps! So, I'm going to try my hardest to check in here more often again!

Ok, I'm a bit confused. Am I doing this right? I went to the February Challenge-Tracking Thread but there's a thing saying not to post on there anymore and it says to edit the original post. So I edited the original post saying I was in to show how much I've exercised so far this week and my new weight along with the starting one. Is that right? Never done it like this before so just making sure cause I don't wanna be out of the game this early!

Haven't been exercising as much as I should. My days are long at the beginning of the week so I try to catch up over the weekend. I noticed this morning getting off the train at 7:00 am it was light outside. Haven't seen that in months. Wasn't that cold so the 10 minute walk to work had extra pep in my steps.

I'm glad to see everyone's doing well so far in the challenge. I think I'm going to have to step up my game a bit. Looks like a little more competition this time around. Thanks for keeping me on the right road. I need a bit of SP friends poking on my shoulder!

Last week was a great exercise week for me, 200+ minutes. Probably won't get that much this week. Hopefully 120-150 minutes.

Welcome to everyone! I'm excited about this challenge...of course, this first week is going to be tough for me personally. My mom is coming to visit on Wednesday for 8 days, so my opportunities to exercise will be limited. I am going to try to get workouts in today and tomorrow to at least get something. Oh, and my daughter's birthday is Monday, and we have a party on both Saturday and Sunday, so there is that, too....
