I took it a bit easy today. I hurt my back earlier in the week and it was really bad yesterday. Tomorrow is a "rest" day and I plan on being very careful with my back. I don't need or want back problems.

5 week Summer shape up Week 4: Day 5
This has not been a great day. It started out with a trip to Branson for various supplies--some for me, some for the house and some for DH. That really went ok. It went downhill from there. I stopped at the local computer store to see if the cable they'd ordered was in, it was. But I can't get it to do what it's supposed to do which was connect the laptop to the TV so I can actually see and hear these workouts. I spent over 3 hours and 2 trips to the computer shop and still nothing. There were other things that happened that I won't go into here. But overall, that just messed my day up and really put me behind schedule.

Anyway, my exercise today: Barefoot Fusion walk: This was really fun. While I waited for the computer to finish all it's updates, I did Jessica Smith's Walking for Weight loss, wellness & energy: High energy walk. If you're looking for a walking DVD that has new moves in it. Try this DVD. It's really good. This kept my heart rate up. I burned 301 calories with it today.

I also realized I needed to do the Spark Solution's strength training today. So I did the bodyweight Spark Swap Strength workout: 196 calories

When I started this program about 3 months ago, I had trouble with my elbow and wasn't able to lift more than 10#. Today: Swing Through and Dumbbell squat: 35#; Deadlifts: 30#; Bent over rows, dumbbell lunges, chest press: 25#; Dumbbell clean: 20#; Dumbbell clean to press: 15#. This is heavier than I did the last 2 times I did this program. I haven't noticed a lot of weightloss this time around, but I see a great improvement in strength.

4/18--My day was turned upside down when I woke to a flooded bedroom/workout area.

and then for me it's a rest day for Supreme 90 which is a good thing because my workout area is covered with water. The storm last night turned our lower level into 2" of running water. It will be out hopefully by night so I can clean up tomorrow.

I still walk most days about 2 - 3 miles, trying to work my way up the 5 miles a day @ 10 min/ mile. I also do Curves w/ Zumba twice a week. Plus, now that my foot's healed the kids are dragging me everywhere. I even got on the trampoline and jungle gym. I could even do some flips on the rings (which hasn't happened since hs!) and go across the monkey bars!

I usually go walking around the nieghborhood at a brisk pace or I'll do a quick 10 minute routine..I have two "bootcamp" style dvds with a variety of 10 min. workouts. I did order Jillian Michael's 30 day shread dvd off of ebay last night so we'll see what that entails....:)

Since I started the S90, the only other workouts I've used are: walking (My minimum step goal per day is 20,000 steps) and gardening--I'm digging up garden beds for next year. This involves digging up rocks and tree roots, etc. I wear a HRM so I know I'm getting a good workout. In fact, yesterday's gardening workout gave me a maximal workout effort acknowledgement.

Seriously I would love to get a TRX for home but for now I'll use it at my cross training kettlebell classes. I mentioned it last fall and hubby said no way on hanging it from the floor so I could use it in my basement gym. I still might have to invest some time this year.

Hi decided to make a post for when you if your like me decide to do other workouts along with supreme 90 I have so many workouts that I wanted to use them as well...life is to short for me to not use all my workouts...so todays workout for me was FitPrime G-Force with Tracie Long Rebounder + Weights + Yoga 55 minutes AWESOME workout!! LOVED IT!! And then went for a 20 minute walk. emoticon
