i'm trying to follow the menus.
breakfast is easy enough.i usually do the oatmeal w/ applesauce and flaxseed
and the eggwhites w/ 1 egg either alone or with tomatoes and spinach.
for my eggs i have a microwave egg cooking "thing" that fast and easy.
has anyone tried the potato and leek soup recipe?
i had some from our deli but probably loaded with a lot of sodium and fat!
I don't follow the eating plan but try (keyword) to eat better. One of my favorite recipes is on bodybuilding.com and it is Jamie Eason's turkey meatloaf muffins. It is spicy, low calorie and so yummy my entire family loves it. It is just egg whites, ground turkey, onion, garlic, celery and an entire mixture of great spices. You feel like you are getting a treat and each muffin is only 80 calories (they recommend two for women as a serving and four for men). it is also posted on hardbody.com which is a site I've never visited before -but here's the link
I thought I'd make a forum for people to post what eat clean foods and recipes people enjoy, so everyone can get ideas from each other. I know I could always use a little variety!
For those of you who aren't following the eating clean portion of this program, remember that Tosca Reno (creator of the plan) has said many times that getting a fit body is 80% nutrition, 10% exercise and 10% genetics!
I have yet to make an actual clean eating recipe, but here are some of the foods that I enjoy:
-Whole eggs and egg whites
-Plain oatmeal with flaxseed and wheat germ
-Fruits (apples, bananas, tomatoes, watermelon)
-Vegetables (peas, lima beans, broccoli, cucumbers, corn, sweet potatoes)
-Whole wheat pasta
-Olive oil (to add to things, not by itself!)
-Beans (red kidney beans, black beans)
-Whole wheat tortillas
Ok...that is enough foods from me. I'd love to hear from you. :)
