Hi just a head's up to those who joined near the halfway point..... 10% weight loss was for the full challenge. 1/2 challenge would be 5%... so just take what you figured and cut it in half.

Perfect timing! Just back from a fantastic trip to Ireland. I didn't fall completely off the deep end there but this weekend since getting back has been TERRIBLE! I gained almost 5 lb since beginning of March but I think 2 of them are from this weekend. So planned to hit it back hard on C1 this AM and this challenge is a perfect way to go.
Starting Weight 3/19 - 192.2 3/26 - 190.4 - having a tough time being compliant this go round... 4/2 - 189.6 4/9 -190.9 (visitors in for Easter) 4/16 - 190.4 4/23 - 191.6 (girls weekend in FL) 4/30 - 190.6 All things considered - while I have NOT been losing, I also have not gained after having 2 weekends full of wine and food. owe er today starts new round - Cycle 1. Sipping lemon water as we speak... 5/7 - 5/14 - 5/21 - 5/28 - 6/4 - 6/11 - 6/20 -

I'm just going to finish checking in now because I have a busy day tomorrow and may forget. I didn't go far on the weight loss but was surprised at my recent check in with my doctor to find I lost 2" on my waist since the last visit 3 months ago. Yahoo! I'll take that. I'll be watching for the summer challenges.

Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 157.4 3/19 - 157.6 3/26 - 157 not surprised--need to tighten my eating up a little.. 4/2 - 154.2 4/9 - 155.5 (4/11) was holding off to weigh til I was back down but..hopefully by Monday. 4/16 - 156 4/23 -153.4 4/30 - 153 5/7 - 152.8 - man, don't think I'm going to make my 10% or even my 5% :=( 5/14 -150 5/21 - 151 - waited a day to see if my weight would go down but noooo.... 5/28 - 6/4 - 149-so dang slow! 6/11 - 148-still slow :( 6/20 - will just call it 148. I was on vacation since 6/17 and just got back on 6/29 and well I don't weigh 148 right now :(

I would like to try this challenge. Can't copy and paste this with my iPhone so I'll have to add the date each week.
Starting weight 3-12-12. 246.0 3-26-12. 243.4 4-02-12. 242.0. I know I'm early but I didn't want to forget. My progress on cycle 3 has slowed way down. I know I need to switch to 1 or 2, but I don't want to give up bread! Rats! 4-09-12. 239.2. Did better since I went back in cycle 2. 4-16-12. 240.0 (too much cheating) 4-23-12. 240.4 4-30-12. 238.8. Trying to stick to the plan on cycle 1 :-) 5-07-12. 237.6. Still trying 5-14-12. 235.2. 6-20-12. 235.6
Total wt loss: 10.4 Less than half :-( Two months and only ten lbs. I am a little discouraged right now. But I have much more to lose so I'll keep trying. :-)

I don't do well on challenges, my weight always drops the day after weigh in but I will give it another shot! Here's hoping I meet my goal this time. Need to remember that joining a challenge doesn't mean I will automatically lose weight! LOL!
Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 152.8lbs
3/19 - 154 lbs - considering I was down to 151.8 the day after weigh in I have gained 2lbs!
3/26 - 154.2lbs - I think I have convinced my self about the challenges and I am trying to prove myself right!
4/2 - 155.4lbs - the scale said 154lbs on Saturday!
4/9 - 152.2lbs - finally! Four weeks to lose .6 lbs.
4/16 - 4/23 -
4/30 - 157.4lbs - after missing 2 weigh ins due to vacation I have my work cut out for me
5/7 - 155.8 lbs - refocused 5/14 - 5/21 - 5/28 - 162.8 lbs - not much to say about that! 6/4 - 156.2 - I have surprised myself! 6/11 - 154.2 lbs less than 2 lbs to get back to my starting weight! With all my up and down I will have met my goal of losing 15lbs just not my goal weight! LOL!
6/18 - 153.4 lbs I was at my starting weight yesterday but didn't maintain it for today. Not even 1lb loss since last week! I have a lot of work to do and not just weight wise!
6/20 - 151.8 lbs I posted my weight on monday thinking that was the last day until I got an email from Sharon saying we had 2 extra days. I left my number thinking I would never get less but here it is 2 days later and I am actually 1 lb less than my starting weight! This challenge for me has been a huge exercise in finding out what happens when I get compliant and don't put forth a great effort. I now realize how come only a small percentage of people who lose weight keep it off. Better to realize now where I fall than to find out after I have lost all my weight. This doesn't mean I will never be successful just that I need to be more aware so that I can be successful.

ACK!
( I know the math of 1.5lbs a week doesn't add up to 25lbs total loss, but I have some heavy duty travel coming up with loads of unknowns so I'm building in some leeway for challenging food situations).

wow, i get back from my 5 full day NYC adventure and jump right into Gabby's challenge. No time to even think about it.
Did I forget to say "I'm in"? well, I'm in and like the first one, some doubt is in with me too, but seeing everyone else's commitment sure helps me make mine.
Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 197.6 3/19 - 193.4 3/26 - 194.2 (thinking/hoping it is sodium issue- will know soon enough- really believe i was exposed to MSG Saturday in the Indian food- sticking to plan c2) 4/2 - 192.0 (=5.6/3=1.8/wk) 4/9 - 192.0(=5.6/4=1.4/wk)- seder salt and wine (not together- but abundant) 4/16 -193.2 long story but really need to do better this week foodwise 4/23 - away (did well) but then sabatoged same day I weighed in at 189 and 3pound gain 4/30 - 190.0 (=7.6/7= 1.08/wk) 5/7 - 188.8 (-1.2=8.8/8=1.1/wk) did not meet goal but at least i feel better about how i am doing) 5/14 -187,8(-1=9.8/9=1.08/wk) really thought it would be a little more but have to be satisfied when it at least is moving in the direction i want 5/21 -187.0 (-,8 10.6/10=1.06/wk) hmm. it was 185.4 yesterday.- but I WILL see that again soon) 5/28 -187.4 (up .4= 10.2/11=.93/wk) it's been a very long time since i hit a goal. will have to keep my eyes on the prize this week. (the prize is being good to my body) 6/4 - 184.6 (-2.8=13/12=1.08/wk) this was a "big" one in lots of weighs/ways- NO LONGER OBESE- am top of overweight- 80 pounds off heaviest weight- 70 lbs off with 17DD- 30% lost off my heaviest weight) thanks to 4 days of cycle 1 (and me) 6/11 -away for a week 6/20 -6/18 182.0 (-2.6)(was 181 yesterday but ate healthy cycle 2 breakfast out- but sodium was in it) wrong weigh in date. i used my extra two days well on cycle 2 6/20 180.8 (-3.8/2=1.9/wk= 16.8/14=1.2) for the week

Ok, I am in. I looked at this 3 times before deciding but seeing it broken down into smaller amounts is not as scary. If I lose 1.5lbs a week I will be down 20lbs by summer, 1.5 lbs is something I can do!

Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 179 3/19 - 178 3/26 - 178 ( no movement, was under a few days ago) Got to work harder at this challenge! 4/2 - 178 (what the heck is wrong with me?!?!?!) I have lost some inches though! 4/9 - 176 Woohoo!! 4/16 - 179 ( I think I am losing my mind!!!! How could I backslide so bad? Things have been a little off-kilter in the personal life and I felt the need to fall of track) I have got to get it together NOW!!!! 4/23 - 178 (Going back down! Started strength training and getting more cardio in. Also, paying attention to food intake) 4/30 - 179 5/7 - 182 5/14 - 183 (What the heck is going on in my life!!! Help! I fell but I have gotten back up! This week will definately be better. I can see going to conventions is not good for the waistline, didn't do measurements yet but weight is up and down. Rescued an 80 lb 'puppy' who needs lots of exercise, so my saving grace is walking 5 km a day sometimes twice a day :)

TOTAL: 8.9 That is pretty bad for 3 months but I am ok with it. It is still 8.9 pounds gone! And I know where I fell off and where I ate on plan so I really think I am learning so much more than I ever have before when I have "dieted." I am actually practicing moderation and balancing my lifestyle with a healthier way of eating. I am happy!!!

I can do this! 5/14 - 222.2 (down 1.8, down 22.4) I had lost another pound, but cheated because my family took me out to lunch yesterday after church to celebrate Mothers Day.
5/21 - 223 (up .8, down 21.6) Had a stressful week followed by a church picnic last night...back to plan today! 5/25 - I know it's not an official weigh in day, but I had passed my challenge goal weight when I weighed today! 219 (down 4, down 25.6) 5/28 - 219.8 (up .8, down 24.8) Maybe the scale was wrong the other day?! 6/4 - 220.2 (up .4, down 24.4) 6/11 - 219.8 (down .4, down 24.8) 6/20 - 219.4 (down .4, down 25.2) I started C1 on Monday since I had been hovering around the same number for several weeks. I have still been losing inches, though.

Not great, but I will take it. I was sidelined for a month with a sports injury which didn't help. There is always next challenge. Yay!

Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 132.8 3/19 - 133.3 3/26 - 132.8 4/2 - (oops was out of town here) 4/9 - 132.0 4/16 - 132.8 4/23 - 4/30 - 134.7 BYE BYE APRIL!!!!!! 5/7 - 133.8 5/14 - *** Took several 5/21 - weeks for ME 5/28 - and family when 6/4 - mom passed away *** 6/11 - Lots of comforting time with food & family but... 6/20 - NOW I'm back on C1.. woot!!!!!!

I'm doing my own carb cycling creation.
Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 303.6 3/19 - 294.8 I knew it was all water! 3/26 - 4/2 - 4/9 - 4/16 - 4/23 - 4/30 - 5/7 - 5/14 - 5/21 - 5/28 - 6/1 - 304 I actually gained so no way I'll lost 30 lbs in 3 weeks but I'll be happy is I lose10! 6/11 - 6/20 -

Oh for sure I am in too. Starting Weight Monday 3/12 - 177.6 3/19 - 176.2 3/26 - 176.2 Not so good this week :( 4/2 - 176.4 4/9 - 174. Starting weight 3/12 - 192.2 (this comes just in time - I'm up three pounds this morning!! Yikes!!!) 3/19 - 193.2 Back to strict C1 with me - my measurements are okay but there's something going on somewhere that the scale doesn't like - so back to basics!! 3/26 - 191.2 - much better! 4/2 - 194.0 - yikes!! This is an allergic reaction to a dinner out last week. I actually ballooned to 198 and expected it all to be gone by now. Ugh!! 4/9 - 191.2 - ahhh - back on C1 and back again.... 4/16 - 191.2 - things are really slow this time....ugh! 4/23 - 192.4 - still stalling - working out a lot more. This may be muscle development - still Lookin to see better results tho! 4/30 - 189.8 - better! 5/7 - 189.8 - very slow....hummmmmmm....I'll be making some changes this week. 5/14 - 195.2 YIKES!!! New job - new schedule - new adjustments and look what happens!! Not nearly enuf water over the weekend either - I'm thinking that has A LOT to do with this!! 5/21- 191.2 .....there it goes 5/28 - 192.0 .......bouncing around a bit.... 6/4 - 191.8......back to C1 today 6/11 - 193.2.....hmmmmm - part of this is having to be on a Raman Noodle budget til I get paid on Wednesday. And another part is body battling against a sciatic injury.....I was 189.4 two days ago so I'm not worried. 6/18 - 188.0.....didn't make goal this time, but still lost some weight. Why wait until the first day of Spring? Let's start Monday! That will give you 14 weeks (and a few days) until June 20th to lose 10% of your body weight. Notice that's a little more challenging than the previous 5% challenges. If you're very close to your goal weight then just use your goal weight.
Are you up for the challenge?!!! Think about how much better you'll look in those summer clothes!
