ABBA walk is me walking, dancing, knee lifts, kicks, climbing the stairs while I play my ABBA greatest hits CD. I usually do it for 20 minutes. I walk all over our first floor with the music turned up loud. Sometimes my husband joins me. It's fun and really gets me going.

walked 3 miles ( a personal best!), played mini- golf and bocce ball with grandkids, and did extra stretching exercises (another best - 30 bicycle crunches!) good weather and no arthritis issues today helped!

today, I did the strangest thing. I was going through my emails and found one of the "Best of Spark" daily email, so I looked through it and it had a 10-minute cardio workout, including stretching, which I am sad to say, I don't do enough. While jumping jacks aren't in my near future, I did do the whole thing seated in my computer chair, in front of the computer, and I felt like I got a real workout, too!

Yesterday was such a pretty day that I started walking and didn't stop. I took a 3-mile walk in the morning, played ball with the boys in the afternoon and walked again in the evening. I ended up with over 8 miles for the day! emoticon

well I have not kept up with leaving a message of what I have done, so I have done a firm work out "cardio party"" what a joke i looked like a goof so uncoordinated. I climbed 245 feet on the tread mill at 2mph I am training to climb a lighthouse . and last but not least I work out on the elliptical using the program for climbing. that is the last 3 days.

Cleaned the dining room yesterday and reorganized all the shelves, cleaned the microwave, dusted all the area's, and cleaned the floor. I still have the island to clean and organize so hopefully I will get to that today or tomorrow. I cleaned and stored all my organic produce into the green produce savers Friday.

Yes, Beth, did gardening 2 weekends ago for 4 hours - digging, pruning, weeding. sweated up a storm! however, now 2 times each week I am going to my local fitness center and doing water aerobics (Hydrofit). the average age of the participants is about 70, but we have a blast! it is the first time I have ever sweated in the water! then did 1/2 hour swimming and felt awesome! this is definitely my exercise!

My oldest and youngest childern and I went to Whitepines State Park this afternoon and we did a 1 mile hike on a medium trail in 40 min. It was so much fun and we saw a chipmunk. I haven't been hiking in two yrs and it was on an easy trail. I was able to maintain a moderate pase the whole time although I did get winded a couple time going up hill and had to catch my breath at the top. But over all I feel really good about how I did and I am hoping to go back next weekend to do another trail. emoticon I just want to thanx Leslie Sansone for making WATP is really helping my indurance. emoticon

I went to Jazzersise class this morning and loved it. I have not been in 20 years when I lived in Rhode Island. Can you believe that I saw someone I thought I recognized so I talked t her after class. She was my first Jazzersise instructor there in Rhode Island. We both now live in Pensacola, Florida. It is a small world.

Hiked 1.8 miles on a class 3 trail (primitive in parts), our park system offers a hiking challenge twice a year. This past fall was the first time I participated, but I will keep coming back. I have discovered some beautiful places and really get a good work out. emoticon

Has anyone tried anything new lately? I've been gardening, which they say burns calories and provides some resistance depending on what you're doing and how heavy the labor is. I'm sure mine is too light to count as strength training, but it does work up a sweat!

I have been suffering from lower back pain the past couple of days. I took Saturday off but today I decided to go outside for a walk around the block. .53 miles 9 minutes. Later I did a low impact aerobics and managed to do 24:30 minutes. It certainly picked up my spirits!

I am continuing to do at least 30 min. a day of cardio and adding in strength training when I am on task. It is finally sunny and warm out today. I will try to go for a bike ride outside. If not I will do a DVD exercise.

Friday is usually a rest day but I actually saw some Sunshine and decided to get out. Walked .53 miles 20 minutes pushing my mother in a wheel chair. Really worked up a sweat going up some hills.

emoticon Yesterday I did 45 minutes of cardio, water jogging in the pool for 10 minutes, and strength exercises to total 90 minutes total. Also 10,000 steps.

Today I have done 11,100 steps and 10 minutes cardio on my exercise bike. emoticon

I was hoping for more minutes but only did 22 minutes cardio today. Busy day taking my mother to Doctor appointments. I have found that doing at least 40 minutes to 60 minutes makes me feel good and energized.
Tomorrow is another day!
