My goals for December are to make regular dishes healthier, to not give in to temptation and to make smaller portions so when there are no leftovers, there aren't the temptations to keep eating them :)

My goal is to not gain any weight and to continue exercising everyday. I joined the 10 minute fitness challenge, and that really has me motivated. I have a streak of about 3 weeks going right now. If it wasn't for the challenge, I would have stopped exercising already. emoticon

My main goal is to make my healthy eating a daily habit.
My second goal is to lose enough weight to reach my ideal wieght range. Tha will automatically come as long as I work hard on my goal number 1...eat healthy.

The right goal weight is a weight that YOU are happy with - a weight where you feel good about yourself. No one else can make that decision for you!! I wouldn't worry about what he thinks at all!!

Just saw my new primary doctor today.
I thought my ideal weight was about 140 to 145.
He suggests that I get down to 125 to 130.
Yes, I am 5' 4" tall but that seems like a very skinny weight for me.
Any feedback? Would appreciate it!

I'd really like to get to my goal weight by Christmas, but if I don't by then, I know I will eventually! I don't like to set time deadlines for myself because it tends to make me feel like a failure if I don't make it, BUT since SparkPeople, I am getting better about not beating myself up so much! I WILL get there, after all it's only 4 more lbs.!

The month of December is almost half over now and am shifting my goals into high gear.
'Tis the time of limitless temptations.

I had the girls over for dinner and gift exchange last night.
We had a wonderful time with lots of tempting diet busters.
While they were here it was easy to simply avoid them and not give them a second thought.
I saved a serving of pasta with roasted butternut squash for a planned and controlled binge.
I knew it was coming.
When my friends left they were given the tempting leftovers to take with them except for the pasta.
Ahhh! Alone at last with the pasta dish.
Yes, I ate it all and felt over stuffed and felt like throwing up to get relief.
I didn't. I want to remember how uncomfortable I was as a result of the choice I made.

What did I learn? There are consequences to every action.
Just for today I will not over eat.

My top goal is to continue with the healthy habits I've formed over the past couple of years plus don't let myself get caught up in the holiday frenzy and over commit myself. I've done that so often in the past then ended up worn out - and when I'm worn out I tend to slack off on exercise and reach for comfort food.
