I switch between sugar-free almond milk and add sweetener, Lite Soy milk, and sometimes Rice Milk. Rice milk has a lot of carbs but if I can't tolerate the others I use the rice milk. It's especialy good on cereal.

Oh, I've also been enjoying almond milk, too. Been using it with my cereal. It adds some sweetness but less calories.

Just saw this. I think this is a good plan. I've actually been drinking more milk since starting Spark this time around....it helps me feel full and satisfied. I was thinking of switching from 2% to skim, but I've been reading too many negative things about skim milk. I want to start getting organic milk again. Sometimes we even get raw milk straight from the Amish or other farmers....it's even more nutritious. But it can be pricey.

Kroger is running a special this week where you get free milk (a gallon of regular milk or a 1/2 gallon of organic milk) when you buy participating Quaker products. I'm going to buy some Kashi GoLean cereal, some granola bars, etc.

I am doing everything ,but the dairy. I can't handle milk. I eat very little when I go out to eat and then eat only veggies and a small portion of meat that is backed, broiled , no fried food anymore.when I eat out ,which is not often, I allow myself to have a sugar-free desert, because it is usually a special occasion. I keep it all within my calorie count for the day.

Great advice Indy. I'm doing all of that already except for buying the organic dairy products. The organic dairy products may be healthier for me but I don't believe it will help me to lose weight. They cost more money too.

Hi everyone -- I recently tried Almond Milk. It was expensive, so I only used it on my cereal. What I did like about it was that the expiry date was longer and the calories lower than my skim milk .

I want to try to get to drinking my coffee black, but was considering getting flavoured Almond or soy milk and using it in my coffee.

Great ideas Beth thank you for the suggestions. emoticon

This challenge is a different one.

ADD lean protein, fruits, and vegetables, organic dairy and whole grains to your food plan. (Leaves less room for junk and it keeps you full)

Divide your Restaurant meals- share them with a friend or family member/ box up half or downsize them by 1. If you used to order large, order medium. If you ordered medium, order small.

That's the "diet" I got started with and it worked pretty well.
