I am all for natural remedies and often recommend them to my own patients, however, there's always a cautionary note. Sometimes people /do/ need medication as well. Particularly with things like mental illness (which includes depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc.). If they can go without, fantastic - but I think it's easy to put too much reliance in other options when medication really is neccessary for the best quality of life for the person.
Just my little two cents caveat. The natural fad is so high these days that some people are almost looked down on if they DO require medication and I think that's horrible and preventing them from getting the care they need. That being said, I ALWAYS supplement behavioral/lifestyle changes with medication as well, as it is not the only answer either. I suppose a holistic sort of approach is what I've found works best.
