The most successful weight loss attempt I've ever made centered around walking. My little guy was about 2 so I'd throw him in the stroller and go. Now that he's 6 I don't think that's an option anymore.
I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.
I have been following a walking program i found in an old book (90's) and I haven't noticed much weight shift, but I have noticed other things like a bit more energy and stamina, some muscles in my abd and pelvic floor are getting back into better shape, some hip pain I have had a while now is improving a bit. I love it!
“Do not let your fire go out spark by irreplaceable spark... Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real…. It is possible…. It’s yours. “ Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged)
I walk alot, but it doesn't do to me what it did as a kid (young adult)' I didn't have a car back then and I walked just about everywhere and in those days my horse was like 3 hours by foot away from where I lived and I walked it back and forth every day. I had the flatest stomach then that I ever had in m y life!!
It's not who you think you are that holds you back...it's who you think you're not... anonymous
Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children. Kenyan proverb
