I wanted to post this for all the popcorn lovers out there. After realizing the "unhealthy" nature of microwave popcorn I bought an air popper. Well I tried it and, I don't know if it's the particular brand or not, but it blew out half of my kernels. I guess most air poppers makes you use a minimum of popcorn which ended up way over my 2 cups I allow myself. So I went the old fashioned way and put 1/2 tbs. of canola oil with 1 kernel of popcorn into a pot that has a lid. I waited for that kernel to pop then put in 2 tbs. of popcorn and covered. In less than a minute I had 2 cups of popcorn. I sprinkled it with sea salt and it came out SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Sure it has more calories than a 100 calorie microwave bag but at least it doesn't have all those chemicals in it. For a once in a while treat this is the way I'm going from now on.

ugh... I eat it all the time but just turned a blind eye to the dangers I knew were there... and I was just thinking of the fake crap they use to make it taste like butter... didn't even think about the bag. No more of that junk for me. ... sigh... I told my hubby just last night I want a hot air popper. :) Now it's definitely what I want cause I love popcorn... with sea salt and REAL butter, thank you... not toxic fake butter any more. :)
