I hope that your urologist can figure things out without having to see a RE. Good luck!

He just recently saw a urologist. That urologist referred him to another urologist who specializes in male infertility. I thought he was being sent to a RE until I looked into what this new doctor specializes in. We may still need to see a RE after that.

On a happier note, I've lost 3 pounds this week. AF also showed up, but I knew it would since we weren't trying this month because of all of his tests... completely missed the window of opportunity.

IBTINK-Have they suggested DH seeing a urologist? That was my DH's next step after the low count diagnosis. We found out that it was just low testosterone and he was just given an estrogen blocker. This is what helped us get pregnant last time. DH just went back on his meds in January so we're hoping that helps us again this time too.

Good luck to anyone still waiting in February!

I just love seeing all these BFPs. It's just what the doctor ordered in the middle of winter.

IBTINK: Good luck with the RE. Low counts is something that they can work with, and it can be improved with some diet and lifestyle changes. Arm yourself with a ton of questions. You pay out the you know what to see them; make sure you get your money's worth!

While we're not preventing right now, I'm really concentrating on my physical health, and I'm back on the Primal Diet I was on last spring. I felt so great when I was on it last spring, but when month after month on clomid would go by without ovulating, I got really frustrated and emotionally ate and "fell of the primal wagon". This year, I think I'm in such a better place emotionally, that the lifestyle is a lot easier to follow. For those of you who don't know, the Primal Lifestyle is a total elimination of grains, corn, beans, and sugar (some people cut out dairy, but I need my milk and cheese). It's not low carb, I still have fruit everyday, honey, potatoes, and the ever important dark chocolate. My acupunturist recommended it to me after I described to him my fertility issues. It's just a much more natural way of eating (like the primal humans), and I feel so great all day long when I live like this, so hopefully I'm creating a great enviornment for my babies to grow in when the time is right.

If hunger isn't the problem, then food isn't the solution!

Keep your diet clean and your workouts dirty!

Congrats TPHILLIPS69. Try not to stress yourself out. Is this your first?

My news: DH has been checked out and has been referred to a RE, so I guess that means we've both been referred. I don't think one can go without the other for such things. Waiting on more information. Overall he has swimmers, just not many. I figure we're better off than if we had none so I'm thinking this is a good sign. I on the other hand have been stress eating... I need to make it stop! I've officially gained 25 pounds since this time last year. That's still nowhere near my heaviest, but I'm not happy about it. I hurt my leg, but under doctor's supervision I'm going to be able to continue running. I have a wedding to go to in June so I need to be in strapless dress shape by then. I can do this... all of it!

wow, I feel kindof like it's not fair to some, but posting to give hope to all - am 42, went off the pill 6 weeks ago. got a faint positive on Sunday morning but a definite "BFP" tonight after work today, so I'm convinced it's real.
I feel like that was too easy so I'm afraid to get too excited.
Now to see the doctor i guess and I'm sure we have a lot of hurdles to leap over considering my age, but let the journey begin...!

What wonderful news Runnergirl!

AF came for me on Wed. Right on time this month! I'm still in awe a little bit that my body is working so well. Maybe if I hadn't had so many months of it not cooperating, I would be a little more discouraged at this point, but I know it's going to happen for me someday.

Work is absolutely crazy right now (I'm an accountant), and due to my busy season, we won't be actively trying for the next few months (trust me I am not sexy when stressed and sleep deprived), but certainly not preventing either. When I do get pregnant, I will be taking the full 12 weeks off, and then I hope to only go back part time for the next 12 weeks, and with my profession, it's hard to be away from my job Jan thru April. I know I would happily stay home if we are so blessed, and my employers know of our fertility struggles, so I know we would have their blessings too. It's just that I would feel guilty for leaving them high and dry with a temp during their busiest time of the year.

We're going to Mexico once tax season is over, so in the meantime, I'll look forward to a margarita!

Thanks ladies!! I almost feel guilty because I know some of you have been trying for longer than I have!! I think what really helped too is good karma and stopping the negative thoughts...I planned a baby shower for 3 teachers at work, I enjoyed the births of 5 of our friends babies recently, and I stopped getting upset when I found out ANOTHER friend was pregnant. It is out of our control, and once I stuck to this mantra I was successful!! And maybe being around all of the new babies was good luck ;). Come on ladies let's see some more BFP's!!!!

Hi ladies...I know I have not been on a lot this month bc I was trying to be more "chill" and that paired with the HSG test I took (which is supposed to help "clean" you out sometimes) and some acupuncture for fertility....helped me to get a BFP this morning!! I am cautiously optimistic....and nervous and excited all at the same time. Good start to a Monday!! Taking a digital test later....but the FRER test came up with a blaring second line in a minute so I think I'm good! :). Now how to keep it from people for awhile.....hmmmm.....good luck and I wish you all BFP's this month!!

Good Luck IBTINK! I'm so greatful that we pursued medical treatment. We didn't get pregnant, but we learned so much, and we ruled out so many other things, so it gave me a peace of mind that we weren't dealing with something much bigger or in addition to my inability to ovulate. DH thinks that peace of mind is what really helped me to begin ovulating on my own. I'm so up in my head all the time that he believes I kind of psyched myself out in the TTC department.

I'm set for Valentine's Day being the day AF should be here or I should test. I probably won't test until a few days later as I have a really busy early part of the week, and I need to be on my game mentally.

Today is cd 29. AF has been very irregular so I'm not sure when to test. Fertility friend suggested that I would start today. I'm going to out of town over the weekend so I'm going to wait until Monday so I can be home to tell dh. The only symptoms I'm noticing at this point is sore and heavy breasts..... Maybe clomid worked the first cycle... Trying to get my hopes up too much

Good Morning everyone! Well after 1 month of being on spark, making healthy life changes, and losing 20 lbs...I got my positive HPT this morning. I am so excited. It's also funny because it took us 9 months conceive my son and 9 months to conceive this one and it is due the same week he was born. Good luck to all of you and positive thoughts and baby dust heading your way!

IBTINK - I wish you weren't on this board:( I was hoping last month was your's. Taking a break may be good.

We took a break in Dec, I still took my herbs everyday, but I didn't temp, use OPKs, or anything like that, but I found it frustrating to not know where I was in my cycle. After so many months of no cycle at all, I found myself right back at those old feelings of, "this [my body] isn't going to work." I'm back to temping, and I find it oddly calming. DH and I BD on a regular basis, so I'm not super stressed about timing, but I like knowing where I am in my cycle. I think however, this month I will stop temping after I have confirmed ovulation. I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Tuesday (based on temps, OPKs, and cramps), so I'm going to temp until Friday to make sure the temp is rising and staying high, then I'm going to lay off the temping because I think I stress more with the temping in the LP. I'm constantly questioning what each temp means when really it means nothing until AF doesn't show.

I've never heard of the at-home SA. DH wasn't exactly excited to get it done, but he did make me call the doctor to request the test order. I'm lucky (no, lucky's not the right word, thankful) that my general practice doctor and his wife went through fertility treatments, so he's more than understanding of how we're feeling, and the discomfort that comes with requesting things like that. I don't know that DH would have done it as easily had I not already gone off the deep end in my emotional state. We were going to start seeing an RE at our 2 year TTC mark, and I put it to him as, I know they're going to ask for this test, and you can go do it in a creepy room at their office, or you can do it in the comfort of our own home.

I'm on track to test or get AF on Valentine's Day! Good luck everyone!

Hey y'all. Well I don't know where I am this month. I thought I ovulated in January, and toward the end of January I had some PMS symptoms, and still didn't get a period. But I know I am not pregnant because due to some issues with DH we didn't do any BDing. So basically my PCOS has struck again so to speak. I use the term struck again because I didn't get a period in October, but then I lost some weight and I got my period in November and December so I was so excited because I thought my body had regulated itself on its own without medication.....so needless to say, having January come and go with no period is frustrating and painful. I hope everyone else gets their BFP's this month though!

Love to y'all!!

xoxoxo

I am wishing but not very sure. My period should be starting on Wednesday. I don't feel one way or the other right now. We have been trying since May so I am getting a little saddened. My doc wont intervene until its been 1 year of trying. It took us 9 months with my son and we conceived 3 weeks after my HSG. I am hoping that if I do get flow this week then we can just relax this month and see what happens. I am trying to let go of all of the "strategies" (OPK, monitors, temping, etc) and just be patient. Good luck and best wishes to everyone!

I went to my clomid checkup this morning. My new instructions are no more clomid, no more temping, no tracking of any sort other than when I start my period and how long it lasts. I can't even use my OPKs. She wants me to not think about it at all if possible. She just wants me to take a break. I aparently am at the point that she would send a patient to see a fertility doctor, but since my husband refuses to get himself tested, I can't go. I'm numb at the moment. I can see a lot of talking and a lot of crying in my weekend future.

Hi all! Just did the math, and if I ovulate when I expect to, my test day will be Valentine's Day. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm not really a romantic, but I also don't want to be a wreck on a Valentine's Day, my poor DH!

JOJO: good luck with the Clomid. I was on it for 6 months, and my best advice is, keep perspective. I was an emotional wreck on it because my hormones were so out of whack! DH kept saying, it's the drugs, it's the drugs, and of course, I thought he was crazy, but I've been off the stuff for 6 months now, and I'm doing much better. Just keep perspective and recognize that it can make you a little crazy, but you are not!

Hoping for a BFP in the next few months. DH was able to go back on his insurance and was able to get his medication again. Last time he was on the meds, we were pregnant in 3 months. That's how long they say it takes to make new sperm. Here's hoping for a BFP for us soon.
Hoping to not see anyone in the month I get mine.

Hi ladies! I'm in and VERY hopeful this month. Just went for a hsg test to see if my tubes are ok and one is slightly blocked. BUT many people get preggers the month they take the test!! Wish me luck...I'll talk to Dr about options this week! At least I have a piece of mind now as to why it's taking awhile! Good luck and baby dust to you all!

I'm in here. We decided to take the month off since DH has been having some back issues. They can't find anything at the doctor's office, so we don't want to hurt it even more with BDing.
