POLITICAL-DC... I totally get what you are saying about the food treats issue. I had to turn my rewards into things that keep me going in the fitness arena... new tennis shoes, new gym shorts, etc. Yes -I occassinoally sneak in a food reward - but it has to be 'earned'... meaning, if I really want fish and chips, which happens to be my all time comfort food, then I have to exceed my fitness goals by the number of calories in the 'treat' that I want to eat. That way - at least I feel like I am balancing out the splurge, and doing the work BEFORE I got on a total eat-off!

May sound psycho - but that's what I am doing to re-train my brain!! Good luck!

MHEM - I love tennis too. 3 years ago hubby bought me a summer package of lesson. It was so much fun. This was before pregnancy and weight gain however! Its a great way to get in a work out and STILL have fun.

I will post my new hair cut. Can't wait!

MHEM - those were really good goals. I am 2 pounds away from my 10 pound goal and then I am going to get a crazy fun new hair cut and conditioner.

I like the reward goal settings. It gives me something to strive for.

What are my goal? January 24, 2013.

Rewards:
10lbs- Facial Makeover (finding a natural flawless look) with little make-up
20lbs- Fitted Jeans
30lbs- Try on my little black dress from 2 years ago (New Years Eve Party)
40lbs- Tiffany necklace or bracelet.
50lbs- Husband and Wife Romantic vacation trip.

Yes, I need to lose 50 pounds. EVERYONE should set up some rewards for themselves and post here or on page. Experts say this works and it does for me. Check out mine which are posted on my page.

Also, make sure you take everyone one day to week at a time. It took me a year to lose 50 pounds the first time. This is about our LIFE not a moment in time. This is also about dealing with the issues that you got you there in the first place. Keep all that in mind because its the key to maintenance.
