No news, but hey, no news is good news, right?! Our kids have been back in school for 3 weeks now. The boys seem to be doing well, busy as always. Our 7th grader is playing youth football (as usual) and has practice 3 nights a week with games on Saturdays. Our 9th grader is playing on the 9th grade high school team, and practices every day after school with games on Thursday nights - first game is this week! Our daughter (10th grade) is keeping busy as well - she has a part-time job this year working at the concession stand of the park where our youngest plays football. She's also planning to try out for the dance team and track team this year.
Fortunately our sports don't start until the end of the month...and only have one to worry about! But our 10 year proudly told us that he corrected his teacher in class yesterday. And he then said that she just didn't want to admit she was wrong. Thank goodness he didn't tell her that...oh my goodness, this is going to be an interesting year. We told him that he shouldn't be speaking to his teacher's like that and that if he had questions about that particular problem he needed to ask his gifted teacher. Geez, what a little smartie pants!

It's the only second day of school for our daughter and the extracurricular activities are underway.
She tried out yesterday for the 5th - 8th grade girls choir (she is now in 5th grade) at her school and made it. She is walking around like a peacock (I guess that would be peahen). We are proud of her, she worked so hard over the summer and I guess it paid off.
MAG (our 15 year old) tried out for football but unfortunately he did not make first string. To be honest we weren't surprised since he hasn't played in over a year and a lot of guys tried out. I guess he will be playing on the practice team (or scrimmage team they also call it). He hasn't said much but I am hoping his will give him enough practice so next year, his junior year, if he tries out again he makes it.
Fun, fun, fun....
School has started
How about for the rest of you? Any news to share?
