I was raised by depression era people. I can't throw food away...just can't do it. I did get rid of a lot of it over the holiday with having company. I'm not worried about whats left. I need to learn to have a little self control. I'm not too worried there is not much left there and after it's gone there will be no temptation at all. We usually don't keep much junk food in the house. My excess weight is from regular food.

So far I'm doing good with the challenge.

You COULD throw it out. We have been raised not to be wasteful so even tossing out food that is bad for us can be very difficult. Only you can decide if you're ready to breakthrough those mental barriers and form new ideals. This is not a chastisement. I know how tough it can be. I look forward to cheering you on as you make spectacular progress!

This will be a hard one for me....we still have a lot of Christmas goodies. Normally we don't have a lot of that stuff around then house. So once its out of the house this will be an easy one. But it's here so this will be tough. I'm going to give this one my all....I will keep you posted, it will be good for me to be accountable for my actions.

Our goal for January is to go cold turkey in not eating junk food. Do not finish off those Christmas cookies. Put down that piece of fudge. It's time to say, 'goodbye' to empty calories and eat to live, not live to eat.
Also, check out my post on eating the paleo way. Good nutrition equals good health.
