Today was Day 1 for me and I noticed quite a few post to follow the diet, but I was going to try my own clean eating plan. I read through the Meta eating plan and it doesn't say how many calories it is based on. Does anyone have a suggestion on how many calories I should try to consume? I'll give it 10 days and if I don't lose any weight or inches using my own plan then I will start the diet plan that is included.

I have the Meta Omni and am on day 8 of phase 1, and am NOT doing the diet. After reading these posts, I'll take another look at it, but my original thought was I eat pretty clean as it is, so I decided to just do the transform dvds (but not the cardio - I use TurboFire for cardio). Thanks for the posts and I'm looking for my TA diet info as we speak! Can't hurt to have a few more healthy recipes. DC

These posts are really helpful. I just ordered Meta Omni and CANNOT WAIT for it to arrive. I've been on the fence on whether or not to do the diet part of the program but after reading this I am thinking maybe I should give it a try? My only concern is how time consuming is the food? Is it the eating every two hours and a lot of different ingredients where it takes up a lot of time. I am a pretty good cook and don't eat a lot of processed food now but I am also a stay at home mom, resident manager and student so I am pretty busy.
I have also noticed that not many people are doing the TA diet. I have been on diets such as: ones based on recommened calories (1300-1500) *1200 calories *low carb *weight watchers *eating 5-6 small meals totaling around 1300 calories of fruits, veggies, protein, and complex cars only in the am
and others and never was able to lose. Just this past 6 weeks, I was on a healthy diet and was cooking the 400 calorie meals (fromt the cookbook 400 calorie fix - great tasting food by the way) with total daily calories not going above 1200-1400. My husband lost weight from me cooking the healthy dinners but I did not lose an ounce! Needless to say I was very frustrated.
So I got the Tracy Anderson Meta program late Tuesday (7/6) but I started the diet Monday (7/4). Actually since I did not have the program yet, I tried to figure out the diet from different posts and things and I actually started the Week 2 part of the diet.
Anyway, I have been doing the muscular structure workouts and trying to keep up with the cardio (plus the diet) and I am down 6 lbs since Monday. I am pretty sure I lost water weight but I feel a little thinner and I like seeing the scale finally move.
I am going to try and stick with the diet as much as possible because it seems that when I modify things myself (do my own diet), I don't get results...
Hope you are still experiencing success Munchkim. Sure would like to hear if others are trying the diet and how it is working out for them. :)
Honestly, I'd completely suggest it. I'm down another 2 lbs just since posting this. I feel like in the beginning, and depending on how much weight you have to lose, she's trying to reset your body since all these tiny muscles really aren't going to show under a snowbank of fat!
We'll see.. I'm even to day 10 yet, but I have never had such success and I don't even feel hungry. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
WoW!! That's really High Five Sister! I was not doing her diet when I started because I was on Weight Watchers- I decided to save the money since I just joined spark- Im kinda of floundering with knowing what to eat because ive been a point counter for so long I kinda lost touch with how much calories is in stuff. (poor planning so far)
So I have been sick too and haven't done my Tracey dvds for a week. But you have inspired me. I think I will re-review her diet plan and maybe try that route!
I hope you can keep the momentum going and I would love to hear more on how it goes... I think Im going to start my workout plan back up tomorrow.
I've looked all over online and no one seems to be doing the diet that comes with the program. Is anyone else here following Tracy's eating plan?
I have to say that I have been around the block a few times with these 30 extra pounds over the last 10 years, and each time losing them takes 5-6 months of pure SWEAT plus eating a very calorie and carb controlled diet. In my most successful diet ever, I lost a consistent 1.5 lbs per week exercising an hour a day and eating 1200 calories. However, after 8 days on this eating plan and doing the exercise, I've somehow lost 8 lbs!?! I literally can't believe it, but it's true - and I have a fancy scale that measures my fat % as well as muscle % and I haven't lost an ounce of muscle.. in fact I gained .1 lbs of muscle. I'd love to hear others experiences!
