If you are a "glitz" lover, try using small pendents (the type you put on bracelets) and string them on a thread or string. They would work just like the paperclips but they pack a little more ensentive to those of us that love glitz.
Author of the published novel, The Double K Ranch!
I do this! 1 paperclip means a day of getting at least 8 cups water, doing my planned exercise (if I had planned to that day) and eating right. I know that's a lot of conditions for one paperclip, but I prefer to lump it all together. I'm on 25 so far, and going strong. It's a great idea
A little late, but I just found this thread. I love visuals! I was looking for a way to make a weight loss graph, but this might do even better! I probably wouldn't pull out a graph in a restaurant, but the paper clips could hide in a pocket next to my pedometer. Love it!
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got.
I read this somewhere else on SP. I now have a string of 30 paperclips hanging on the fridge (one for each pound I have lost).
"When I go out to eat I will be taking them in my pocket. That way if I feel tempted to overeat I can hold them and remember why this is all worth it.
Being on the fridge also is a powerful reminder to make healthy choices when you open the fridge!
It is a powerful reminder of how far I have come, try it and see!!!"
Of course I am hoping that my chain gets longer and longer LOL
You can use the paperclips to keep track of how many glasses of water you have drank, how much exercise or how many calories or carbs you have had. You don't have to use paperclips ... you could use buttons or even pebbles!
