Wow I just read an articule about autonomic neuropathy I can't say I understand what it is. I read...for one your body can detect when you have low blood readings. This is a nasty disease indeed. Don't know much else about autonomic neuropathy . But this disease is monster. I Plan on going down with a fight. emoticon I might have it but it does not have me.

Mary, I read your blog. I'd heard of autonomic neuropathy, but have never known anyone who had it--like you said, other things tend to get there first!

I'm so sorry, dear friend, it's a terrible thing. And all the things you have done right for so long are not always enough are they--though doing them certainly got you farther than NOT doing them would have, it's still in the hands of our creator and the natural processes set forth from the beginning. I feel for you, sweetie... how very frustrating--not to mention, SCARY!...

Hang in there and even if you can't remember EVERY thing, remember where your friends are!

the lady mary

Please stay on your exercise routine (5 days a week, 30 minutes), follow your diabetes food plan and take your diabetes diagnosis seriously!

I received these comments from Joybauer.com this morning after I too a simple questionnaire. "You've been diagnosed with diabetes. And I'm not going to sugarcoat it diabetes is a silent killer and among the sneakiest and nastiest of all diseases. If left untreated, diabetes can lead to heart attack or stroke, continuous pain from degenerated nerves, foot or leg amputation from gangrene, kidney failure, or blindness from retinopathy. On a positive note, there are steps you can take to control your blood sugar and minimize your risk of all health complications and I want to help you! "
