We associate food with all kinds of things: comfort, social events, treats... It IS a tool, it's actually fuel and building materials for our "temples"... and we need to use quality to get quality, y'know?

Nice thing that we CAN make those choices, huh...

Its a mindset. When you have this disease food becomes another tool in the tool belt to help fight this stinky disease. We can never make the mistake of pretending that food choices don't matter.

**SIGH** Stinky, but true. We do have to make sure what we put in our mouths is healthy for us and that's not always easy. Good for you for working on it. It definitely IS worth the effort.

another good way is to do some walking if you eat some carbs. this does help with the bs so give it a try.

I think I've come out of the slumpy feeling I was in regarding my food choices - or lack thereof!
My blood sugar numbers have come down significantly within the last few weeks since I left starchy foods behind. I've focused primarily on protein, fruit and vegs for breakfast and lunch, and found that I can sqeeze in a *little* bit of potato with dinner on occasion without a spike in my BS. I've also been mixing in some lentils and beans with lunch and dinner.

I realize that this is just the way it is. Gotta' work with what I've got and deal with it!
