February is the month where we remember to honor the ones in our lives we love most, but we often forget ourselves. We forget to do kind loving things for ourselves. In order to love and care for others we have to love and care for ourselves. This is a wonderful time to remember this.
This month make a list of things you love about yourself. If you want to share your list in this thread that's wonderful. Post this list where you can see it, as a reminder of what a wonderful person you are.
Now make a commitment to show yourself love at least once per week through out the month. And make a list of ways you can do this. Yet again it can be anything, send yourself flowers, treat yourself to a nice meal, give yourself time for a bubble bath you so richly deserve. It's your choice, but make it about you. '
Each day, at some point take the time to talk to yourself. Say "(Name) I love you for the strong beautiful person you are." I do this to my own reflection in the mornings.
Or you may want to try Lisa's self blessing as part of your self love activities. I've copied and pasted it below.
"I open it by saying: Goddess bless me, for I am your (child, daughter).
Then I start at the top of my head and work my way down, blessing different parts of me. It changes from time to time, but here is an example:
Goddess bless my head so that I may think clearly.
Goddess bless my eyes so that I may see your beauty all around me.
Goddess bless my mouth so that I may taste your goodness.
Goddess bless my throat so that I may speak truthfully and kindly.
Goddess bless my heart so that it may be filled with love.
Goddess bless bless my breasts as symbols of a woman's power to nurture.
Goddess bless my hands so that I may work at all that pleases me.
Goddess bless my belly, home to my womb, center of my power to create life.
Goddess bless my legs so I may walk in beauty.
Goddess bless my feet to carry me on my path.
Goddess bless me, for I am your (witch, priestess, daughter)."
Courage isn't always a lion's roar. It is sometimes the heart at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." -- unknown
