We had our Linger Longer luncheon yesterday, and I took cut up fresh pineapple and a festive bean and corn salad. I am a vegetarian now, and so is one of our missionaries, and I think at the next meal we will mark the dishes that are vegetarian. Not very many of them yet.

We definitely need more fruits and veggies. So many "heavy" dishes! You know... meat and casseroles and pasta salads and plenty of desserts.

Never forget that you are a child of our Heavenly Father and that makes you extraordinarily awesome!

Peace!

I usually don't go. Or just do the best I can because, really how often do you have a church dinner? Our ward has one about 3 times a year.

Yes, you can!

I take something healthy that I know I can eat and then I will also get a few other things that aren't too over indulgent from the table. It is fun to watch people turn up their noses to some of the foods I've taken and then those brave enough to try something I've made always rave about it and some others will try it. I usually end up with it all gone in the end. New foods sometimes scare others but in the end can be delicious.

"Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are but princesses that are waiting to see us act just once with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything terrible is in its deepest essence, something helpless that needs our love." -Rainer Maria Rilke
