Creamy Swiss Steak Pot (pg 244)
1 cup sliced onion 3 tbl flour 1 tsp parsley flakes 1/8 tsp black pepper 4 (4-oz) lean tenderized minute or cube steaks (I used 1 lb of extra lean round steak I had hanging around the freezer) 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup (1 8oz can) tomatoes, undrained 1 (10 3/4oz)can Healthy Request cream of mushroom soup (opt) I cut up about a cup of fresh mushrooms I had in refrig
Spray cook with butter spray. Place the sliced onions in cooker. In a sauce dish (I used a brown lunch bag) combine flour, parsley flakes and pepper. Coat steaks (I had chunked the steak and put them in the bag) and then put over the onions. Top with celery. In small bowl combine undrained tomatoes, mushroom soup and any flour. Spoon mixture evenly over veges. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. When serving, evenly spoon veges and sauce over meat. (I put this over cooked noodles)
