8 oz. lean ground beef 1 c.chopped bell pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 15 oz can tomato sauce (chunky if you can get it) 1 8 oz can red kidney beans, drained and slightly mashed 1 T. taco seasoning 1 8 oz can Pillsbury reduced fat crescent rolls 2/3 c. 2% shredded cheddar
Preheat oven to 400 degress. In lg skillet, brown meat, green pepper, and onion. (I also add minced garlic) Add tomato sauce, kidney beans, and taco seasoning. Mix well, simmer. Meanwhile, pat rolls into 10x15 baking sheet, sealing oerforations. Press dough to cover the bottom of the pan. Bake 5 - 7 min, or until slightly browned. Remove from oven, spread hot meat mixture over crust and bake 10 more minutes. Evenly sprinkle chz over the top, bake 5 more minutes. Makes 8 srvings.
