8 oz. ground beef
1 (7.5 oz) can Pillsbury refrigerated butermilk buscuits
1 teaspoon pizza or Itailian seasoning
1 teaspoon Sprinkle Sweet or Sugar Twin
1 3/4 cups (1 15 oz can) Hunt's Chunky Tomato Sauce
1 cup (4 oz) Kraft shredded reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large skillet sprayed w/ olive-flavored cooking
spray, brown meat. Meanwhile, cut biscuits into quarters. Evenly place biscuit
pieces in a 10 inch deep-dish pie plate sprayed with olive-flavored cooking spray.
Stir pizza seasoning and Sprinkle Sweet into tomato sauce. Evenly spoon sauce
over biscuit pieces. Arrange browned meat over sauce. Sprinkle top w/
mozzarella cheese. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are done. Place
pie plate on a wire rack and let set 5 minutes before serving. Cut into 6 pieces.
Each serving equals:
HE:1 2/3 Protein, 1 1/4 Bread, 2/3 Vegetable

NOTE:
Here's what I did....I browned the ground beef and added in a 1/2 cup chopped
onion & 1 cup chopped fresh button mushrooms. Cooked this until the onions
were translucent. I then added the tomato sauce & spices to the meat NOT as
the recipe states. Spooned this mixture over the cut up biscuits, topped with the
grated mozzarella & baked it for approximately 30 minutes. It needs this long to
cook the biscuits in the center of the pie plate.
I slice with some 0 Point veggie was a filling dinner!
