Some have not, Judy has broke her leg and hasn't had a chance to get all caught up. BUT, look in the index in one of the sticky threads on this forum, and you will see all the recipes are linked there, except for this weeks, I'll get to them as soon as I can.

Hi Judy and Ann,
I am glad to know my recipe went to the right place and am not in a hurry at all. I will go ahead and post some more now. Well maybe on Friday. At therapy today they gave my wrist, hand, fingers, and arm such a workout I am really stiff so it is hard to type.
It is really wonderful to have such a wealth of healthy recipes right at our fingertips.

Judy, we're in no hurry. We sure appreciate the work you do and have done on the Ruth Bond website. I'm so happy we are able to make it alive again.

Enjoy your trip home.

Hi, All. I am behind on getting all of your recipes linked. It's the last few days of classes this quarter for my son. He's been emailing me papers to proofread. So, there may be a lot of that you've posted that I haven't linked, yet.

I'm still working on it, but it's going slowly. A lot of the recipes that I think came from the newspaper site jump around from book to book. That goes more slowly for me, because I have to work in different files, then save, transfer to server, and double-check. So, bear with me please. I think the BIG paper that I will need to proofread is coming in tomorrow morning. I will sleep and breath and lot better when that is done. Then, our son comes to visit us -- will be here Sunday. We are overseas due to my husband's work. Then 8 days later, son and I go home for a bit. But, I'll take my computer with me.

Thanks for all the recipes you're posting!

My recipe is with a lot of other recipes that you and other people have typed. When I click on recipes. Maybe Judy hasn't transferred them yet? I noticed that a lot of the recipes when clicked on Judy's site does not transfer back here. Oh the world of computers confuses me.

When I click on the soup recipe on Judy's site that I typed out it still doesn't come back here. I will type some more when I know what I did wrong.

Does any one have the Arthritis Cook Book? On the Ruth Bond Web Site under the Diabetic Cookbook there is a recipe from Arthritis highlighed for Chocolate Covered Cherry Pudding.

Thank you for the hugs Judy and Heather. My cat had cancer and he wasn't even three till July. They had just diagnosed him with diabetes and wasn't responding to treatment that being the reason for surgery. I become so deeply involved with my pets they are like my children so when things like this happen I take it hard.

I haven't forgotten about posting recipes so tomorrow night I will do some.

Iris, I am very sorry to hear about your kitty. I understand; we love our pets -- they are a part of the family.

My Mom tells me (we were not there at the time) that our church had a special service outside for their pets that had passed on, where people could give thanks for the time they had with their beloved pets, and pray for them.

I still miss my pets, but somehow this helps a little bit. I pray for them, and think of them playing with angels, not being in pain anymore.

Hugs to you.

Hi Heather,
I corrected the nutritional info. that I left out last night. Its all there now.

I am leaving new to go to the vets my cat is having exploratory surgery this morning. They are doubtful that he will pull through. I am so sad about this, he is the cat I posted about that loved to take showers. He was diagnosed with diabetes but is not responding to insulin and they suspect pancreatic cancer. He is only 3 years old. I will try to post more of the soup recipes tonight. A little prayer for him would be so much appreciated.

Hmmm, My very little brain is confused especially when it comes to computer things. I am still typing one handed but I would like to help. Is this the way I do it? Go to Judy's site check to find a recipe that doesn't go back to Spark and if it doesn't go to recipe forum on this site open a new thread and type out the recipe and post it?

If this is correct let me know and I will do a few.

Recipes on Ruth Bond Website DISCOVERY

I just went on the Ruth Bond website to see what recipes I could type from Dinner for Two. I thought I'd make a list of them and then search to see if any one else has typed any.

On the Ruth Bond website for the booklet Dinner for Two the last recipe is Fast Fruit Cocktail Cobbler on page 48. If you click on that recipe you will come upon a site of the KWQC TV6 recipes. There are at least 200 of Joanna's recipes posted there.

What a find. Maybe others knew about that but I didn't.

Now it's time for my heads up!

The next recipes I'm going to post, are ones I found that I had copied and pasted from the old HE boards. I have a lot of them, but I don't have the source (which book) most of them came from! This was back when I first found the HE boards, and I wasn't as organized back then, and didn't know exactly what I had found! (a virtual never ending gold mine of recipes!).

So the next ones that I post where I actually find the source, will not be my actual typing, only my copy and pasting.

Hey gang, just a head's up ! ! !

I'm starting to add some of the recipes from old - 1992 newsletters and there is NO nutritional information - just the HE equivalents.

I didn't want ya to think I'm slippin up.

Just a little FYI - back in 92 the newsletter was 8 pages and cost $12/yr.

It's interesting to see how Joanna wrote up the recipes then (see Taffy Apple Salad) and how specific they are today.

Also feel free to add a reply with your comment on the recipe if you want, since that's how the threads originally were on the HE site.

All her links used to go to threads on the HE message board, about the recipes, with the recipe in the thread.

So it will be more like it was before, if any one wants to add any replies to the recipe about how they liked it, or how they made it, etc.

Thanks! Just the ones on her site. I don't believe she had those books on her site any way.

What she had was ones that were previously on the healthyexchanges.com website, but when they overhauled it, they were all gone.

So just go to her site, and pick any of them you want to add. :) Any book you want to do.

I did what I already had typed up with America book. So if there's any she had posted there you want to add that might be a start. :) But, really what ever ones you want to help with will be great! :)

Yes here on the spark site, under Recipes.

Just make a new topic, under recipes, with the recipe you want to help put back on the site. Once you post it, I'll let Judy know, and she'll make the link on her site, go here, so it's connected to the recipe. Instead of going no where like it does now.

Heather, you are speaking to a computer challanged person here. I'm know about Judy's Ruthbond site and know how to click on but:

Say I have Cooking Healthy Across America and go to that link, and see blakberry cobbler --- Then what? Where do you 'start a thread' to post the recipe?

Are the recipes to be posted on this Spark Team web site?

Well, I think if you have the recipe, just post it. I doubt we will get any doubles. You can always check first. Judy is adding them! :)

So if you click on the link (on her site) and it doesn't go any where, then it probably needs to be added.

Good idea. How can we do it so we aren't duplicating the same recipe? Divvy up the cookbooks?

Judy's site no longer works to link us to any of the archives.

I was thinking maybe we could make some archives right here!

I was hoping every one could pitch in and help with this.

Here's her site-
home.earthlink.net/~ruthbond/favorit
er
ecipes.html

Here's my idea........where there was a link, that used to be the link to the recipe!

I was hoping that we could all add the recipes we have that she had links to on this team.

IE If you have Cooking Healthy Across America, and you go to that link on her site, you will see there was a link to blackberry cobbler, creamy coleslaw, date nut muffins, etc.

If you have that book, just start one thread for each recipe, named the name of the recipe you are putting in there, and put in the recipe you can that she had links to. That way maybe we can make a new archive, and maybe Judy could change the links and put them back to here!

Make a different thread for each recipe.

If you need more help cause I haven't made it clear what I'm saying please let me know and I'll try to make it better. :)
