Hi!
Sorry I haven't been on here for a little while.
I fell and hurt my leg a week ago and it is still a little sore. My foot took on a nice
black and blue look as well even though I do not feel any pain there. Didn't even notice it until yesterday...LOL!
I have decided that I am going to back up on the challenge this week and restart week two of the SIS challenge.
I let up on it a while back and did not get a good week in.
I also have been not doing well on keeping away from all those luscious goodies that came my way this weekend. That's what celebrating birthdays does for you. Still lost weight though in spite of it all. Now I need to keep on going!
Hopefully I can ease back into everything this week.

I walked 2.5 miles in 45 minutes today - very happy with the progression of my cardio! Jean loves strength training and I hate it!

I absolutely agree Claire. I started using my X-factor I love it! Palates are not for me! I am continuing with the challenge. All of the yard work I was doing - I tried to make my movements match work out movements. It was hard work.

I may not return to the videos on spark - I am OK with that.

I received some new DVDs in the mail yesterday and I did parts of two of them today. One tape is a low impact cardio loosely based on dance. The second one is a walk at home cardio workout that have 3 different distances: 1, 2, & 3 mile. I did the 1 mile which is at a face pace! I did a small amount of cardio yesterday with some strength training exercises I found on YouTube.

So, I'm not following the spark tapes, but I'm completely the spirit of the challenge and that's what counts!

stopped exercising for a couple of days. Had a mini vacation so to speak.
did 32 minutes of walking video and days 2&3 of SIS videos today for a total of 48 minutes so far.

I finished week 1 except for a cardio session and so am moving on to week 2 tomorrow.

My 4 week sweet challenge was going great until I had to go to the store - the aisles of evil drew me into their clutches and I bought a soda and an ice cream bar.

I scratched week 2 and am restarting week 2 tomorrow... I have been out chopping wood, stacking it and raking... I hurt - but I had a great workout!

I didn't get anything done today, but I have a good excuse - my neighbor's grandson is missing and I was scanning pictures and forms for the police and all that - she's his temporary guardian but she's 82 and technology is not her thing.

If I could, I'd go for a walk right now to bleed off some of the stress/tension, but it's too dark. I'll do some stretching & marching in place or something once my DH goes to bed.

Somehow I managed to get in both a Leslie Sansone walking video and Day 5 of the SIS
challenge.
Wow that strength video was hard...my abs are complaining. They won't move in those ways.

Total 44 minutes today.

Week 1: Day 3

Did today's video working glutes, etc. Man! My motorcycle accident after effects are again obvious. (I was on crutches for 6 months due to a fracture within my knee joint - no soft tissue damage.) Regardless of how out of shape I'm in elsewhere on my body, the muscles in my left leg are half the strength of my right - I did not rehab enough to bring it up to par. It was a problem walking and I didn't do anything else!

So, I didn't last long on each exercise and I couldn't go nearly as deep, but it was a push for me and that's the point.

Got an hour of WII Fitness cardio work done, too.

We are all going great guns! We must pat ourselves on our backs!

Week One Day 2
Today's tape was targeted to abs and again, I'm not able to do most of the work out at full form. Still, I learned some moves I can do and that will be helpful going forward.

Today was day 3 of the challenge for me.
I did 30 minutes of a leslie sansone walking video, and did day two's video twice for 12 minutes. emoticon

Day 1 I did the cardio video for 10 minutes
Day 2 I did a walking video for 32 minutes and the day 2 video for 10 minutes.

Did the 10 minute kick box cardio tape as indicated by the challenge. Realizing that there is a lot on it that I can't do - there is so much flexing of the spine. (i have osteoporosis in my spine); However, I just modified it fit my circumstances. I'm supposed to do 5 cardio sessions this week, but today won't be one of those, unfortunately.
