How about something easy, like fitness minutes. People could post pledging to do so many fitness minutes in the month. Then each week they can stop in and post how many minutes they did and doing what. Similar to the "I pledge to drop x lbs during this month" that so many other teams do every month. Just an idea.
Also, there may be a significant number of people that don't own a kettlebell, or know how to properly use one.
