Hopefully Chicago gets a date soon. Driving is well worth it because of all the sites you can see on the way there and while there...not to mention the good cause! Does your daughter get involved with runs with you??? Or walks??? it important to keep our kiddies in the light and educte them as well. My best wake up call was my daughter's best friend. They are inseperable...she is an inspiration to my daughter and others. CHD is alot bigger than most know. Spread the spark on CHD!!!
Probably not that ethical...but EDUCATE and offer insight on what donation can do! You'd be surprised the response from younger crowds who actually care or have family members with heart issues. You may open the floor to a whole new experience for them!
Congrats on the race! Wish the best of luck. keep us updated on how it goes when the time comes.
My goal this year was to run in an Adult Congenital Heart Association 5K. I am holding out for the Chicago date as the others close to me have interfered with my daughter's dance recital or do not include the 5K. If this year does not work out, I hope to do it next! Either way I am looking at driving at the least four hours one way to get to one. Chicago will be seven hours one way. But it will be worth it!
