Goals:

1. Cardio 5 x per week for 25 minutes to include at least 10 minutes of weight bearing exercise;

2. Strength training 3 x per week for 20 minutes

3. Eat 100% of my MDR of calcium every day!

DEC 01 - 70 minutes cardio with 45 minutes weight bearing; strength training
DEC 02 - 30 minutes dog walking (not so much cardio, but weight bearing)
DEC 03 - 80 minutes weight bearing, 45 minutes cardio (105 minutes total)
DEC 04 - 35 minutes cardio (15 weight bearing), 15 minutes dog walking; strength training
DEC 05 - 15 minutes dog walking
DEC 06 - 30 minutes cardio, 25 minutes dog walking, 40 minutes weight bearing (belly dancing!); strength training
DEC 07 - 40 minutes cardio with 15 minutes weight bearing

Okay, today managed 1/2 an hour of salsa dancing (the equivalent to about 1-1/2 miles actually!). The only weight work though was carrying the groceries. That should count for something, those bags do get heavy!! No, not those silly plastic bags, my string totes that each carry over 10 lbs!

Thanks for posting this. Have been needing some incentive to get back into care of self. This is a great way to end this year and launch the next!

This is a simple challenge. We each set a personal goal for the month on how much time we will spend doing Cardio Weight Bearing exercises (walking, etc) and/or number of/types of Strength Building Exercises (squats, etc). No requirements on what you do, just do whatever activities you choose.

It is easy to track; just report the time spent doing cardio and/or the weight bearing exercises done (squats, etc).

Goodies to be awarded to all participants.

Here's a tracker you can copy into your own post if you want to use the same.

HOW TO POST: It is up to each individual if you want to create one post and just keep editing it to reflect your daily workouts, or copy and paste it to create a new post each time. Let me know if you have questions about how to do any of this.
