Well I am back to my starting weight which is not a good thing at all!!! I will be 8 weeks post partum (had a baby) tomorrow --but all is good!! I am on a liquid diet to kick start my weightloss!! I am also back at the gym --which is no issue for me anymore--only stopped because of my pregnancy!! So what am I doing --working out and liquids only for a while!!!!

I am exercising and enjoying it! I have started small and I am adding more exercises/time as I progress.

I am pacing myself to achieve consistency in nutrition and fitness, not perfection. I'll never be perfect, but I can always remain committed and dedicated to life time good health. I want to remain active, agile, positive, spiritually fit, grateful, and ready to give back to the world.

I am tracking my food & exercise, walking (Leslie Sansone's dvd), gardening, eating more whole foods (veggies from my garden) and eating more veggie snacks.

Congratulations AFOOT on reaching your goal. I agree, exercise is MORE important when working than on vacation. It is a sanity saver. I love your slogan...."I teach because I love to learn". I just retired after 36 years, and that is what I will miss most. Good luck with tracking! Leslie

End of my personal goal-jogging a mile a day until school starts. Minimum mileage was 50 miles. I made the 50, but was not able to jog everyday. Now that I'm back teaching, exercise becomes twice as important. I will keep jogging, but more realistic goal will be 4 days a week and do other cardio exercise like Rockin' Body or zumba dancing on non-jog days.
Really, really need to get my eating worked out so it can help me work-out! Keeping a food journal is an uphill battle.

I'm restricted from exercise for a week after my heart procedure, but I'm keeping up my nutrition and hoping to feel great and keep my weight stable. I'm grateful to medical science to be able to solve another one of my heart issues. It is quite miraculous, really!!!

A few of them are start and stop. I enjoy writing down how I felt physically and mentally before and after any workout. If I work out outside, I also comment on the weather and road conditions, what part of the park I worked out in, etc. If I work out in the gym, I always write "re-cycled, refrigerated, and repitious" . YUCK!

What's in the journals? (I'm always interested in what people track and how they keep up with their fitness.)

Not going to plan???! If I did that, I would have to put my 8 different workout journals up for adoption.

I am learning to stop wishing, hoping, discussing, thinking, reading, contemplating, planning............. and JUST DO IT!!!!!
I know, Nike has already coined that one, but I must get into action to see results. I am at a weight maintenance stage, but my fitness has a lot of room for improvement. I will actually DO the work to accomplish my goals. Who'da thunk????

I'm determined to bust through a FOUR YEAR plateau this year so I have enlisted the help of my current Doc and another Doc to guide me through the landmines. I took on 2nd job to help pay for the help knowing it would be worth the guidance in the end. I'm feeling and looking better every day and have taken sugar and simple carbs out of my diet to help my body repair from years of damage from poor food choices in the past. It's all process and I'm DETERMINED to get where I want to be. I've lost 90+ pounds, kept it off four years - now it's time to tackle my next goal of 64 pounds.
I've also been practicing yoga regularly to help center me and ST. The semi-private sessions have been amazing - physically, spiritually and mentally.
I'm taking 2012 by storm and setting it ablaze.
P.S. Both doctors practice natural medicines - chemicals I don't do. :)

Waking up at 6:15 every morning while everyone else sleeps to do a short 20 minute video. Then packing my bag for my after work runs 3 times per week.
Esther, good luck on your race. I think the adrenaline of the event will get you through it.

I hear ya. It takes a mental toughness. But you know that YOU would be cheering like crazy for the last person no matter how long it took them. Let others be supportive of you if that is what it takes.

Yes, but it's a small local race (probably about 100 people, tops) and when they're holding the parade so your slow butt can cross the finish line...well, it doesn't feel so great, even when everyone (or almost everyone) is being amazing and encouraging. ;)

Get after it, Sarah!
I've been working the LiveFit program. The first four weeks are no cardio so that's been great in letting my PF heal a bit. Cardio resumes next week so I'll be testing different machines to see what I can do without upsetting my foot more. I will run again one day, and one day I will run a half or finish a tri. (My secret hope is to be able to not finish last on the 2-miler on 4th of July weekend, but I'm not sure if I'll be ready for it by then...fingers crossed, though!)

This is something I should'a, ought'a, done a long while back: I've made 'business cards' of my favorite motivational sayings and created a photo-collage of before and after pics of men my age. I have the cards at eye level conspicuously stuck around the house. The collage's are in the bathroom and kitchen. Strange, but I did this as a path to my goals. I believe/know it's going to help!
Stay tuned......

On the up side, my shins haven't felt this great in a year. :)
