So proud of myself. I did it! I finished this program! It took me a year from when I first bought it, and several restarts from week 1, never getting past day 3. But this time I did it! Take that Jillian! I lost 6.5" off of my belly, hips and thighs and 1" off my arms. I can do pushups like never before. I feel stronger. Definitely glad I did this, but I definitely was cursing Jillian in the last week. lol. Good luck to you all on your journey!

oh my goodness. week four is insanity next to the other weeks. I'm wobbly and I feel like I'm going to throw up. This sucks! I'm gonna need some motivation to get through the next few days, because this is insane!

Only 1 day left of wk 4...... I'm so excited to be completing this workout for the 2nd time this yr & did much better this time cuz of the little more endurance that I have. YAY....

D1W4 is done... only 5 more days. Can't believe how quick/fast this workout has seemed to go.... I'm giving it my all because I have never felt this great. I can def feel my progress!! So looking forward to D2 tomorrow.

Hello wk4..... This is the 2nd go around this year and I'm hoping to nail it like I have all the other levels the last 3 wks!!! Hoping I feel wk 4 is easier this go around... Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning!!!

Wow you have to stay motivated. I screw up with food all the time. I get the exercise going but yo-yo my eating. Trying to be moderate with my food choices.

Honestly I first started out just by counting calories, but now that the weather is nice out, last thing I want to do when I get home is sit on the computer to tally that all up. I have a general idea of what I can eat to get close to the # of calories I should be consuming according to SP diet. I dont go by the suggested food either. Just try to watch what I eat & try to add as many fruits & veggies to my diet as I can. I've had much success with JM workouts since mid January. I just hope I can continue to stay motivated until I get back from our vacation in June. The break is always my breaker & it makes me frustrated at myself!!! I'm hoping with the great results I've seen so far that I wont have to worry about that as much and that when we get home I'll be ready to hit a workout again!!

Well I finished day 2 of Wk 4 today!! Man it's a killer workout but if I have any where near the great results in wk 4 that I had with wk 3, I'll be one happy girl!!!! I have totally enjoyed this workout, wasn't as fond of wk 2 but so far 3 & 4 I have Loved every minute of it!!! So I will continue to do this for my 10 days as scheduled thru out the rest of may. Can't wait to see my final results!!!

Ripped week 4 again. Followed by Yoga Meltdown level 2. Yes I recommend it but..I can't do all the moves. I do mostly intermediate but some of the rep it outs are too difficult for me. Still it's helped my flexibility tremendously.

Today I did level 1 advanced after a kathy smith interval workout. I even managed a set of full planks (not from my knees).

I was doing Insanity at the time I hurt my ankle and had to stop doing that. Yesterday instead of Level 1 I just went on my elliptical for 30 minutes. It was helpful to do the low impact workout :)

I started back doing week 1. I actually have something wrong with my right ankle-I sprained it about a year ago and have a few side effects from it still. I have to take it easy and the moves in week 4 are a bit too much strain on my ankle.
Going back to week 1 with heavier weights was a challenge at least :)

I don't think Level 4 is easier than level 3. I think it focuses on core and level 3 is more focused on your arms and legs..

Anyway did Level 4 again tonight. I hope to do it again several more times this week. I'm going to do yoga meltdown level 1 tomorrow.

I don't mind level 4 much (not that I can say I really ever enjoy working out) but level 4 I feel is actually easier than level 3. Only problem is, I think I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder area ever since starting level 4 so I think I kind of messed myself up a bit since beginning this level.

Okay my measurements for this level, keep in mind I did have like 5 days over thanksgiving that I didn't eat too well. For this level I had total of 1 inch lost. Thigh -0.5 and hip -0.5.

Overall with the DVD so far its does put me at a total of -5.5 inches. -2.5 abs, -0.5 arms, -1.5 hips, -1 thighs.

Level 4 day 6 finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo this is the end of the dvd, it did take me almost a week to do that last day but its over now ((sigh)).

I agree, the last week has been so busy. But today is back to normal, I only have to finish my day 6 which I plan on doing tonight. Depending on how hard the workout is, I would love to day 1 of 6 week 6 pack also. I will check back in later to post what I did. Great job everyone!!!!

6th workout done, Level 4 took me forever to finish, my schedule has been so erratic.

Ripped in 30 officially done!!!

Onto a mix of "No More Trouble Zones", 6 week abs, Killer Buns & Thighs (got to love that dvd title!) until Extreme Shed & Shred is released in December.

Wow Jenontherox you are amazing too! I can't wait till we all make it to where we want to be. You ladies seriously get me excited to workout everyday and to stay focused so thank you for that!

Last night was my final day of RI30 and it feels so great to have finished. I did level 4 and then did day 1 of six week 6 pack then 30 mind of the elliptical. I felt guilty for not working out at all Friday and I was out drinking away calories with old friends so had to work a little harder yesterday:-)

Remember ladies this week is thanksgiving which means lots of good fattening foods to eat. Don't deprive yourself just don't over indulge and we will still continue to make progress!

way to go JERM1N! it's totally appropriate to celebrate these kind of accomplishments along the way! It's all about the physical & mental pay offs!

Today marked workout #2 of level 4 for me. I took yesterday off strength training because my butt has been sore I think from towards the end of level 3. Can't believe I miss level 3! I did cardio yesterday (running & precor) & today, an hour of cardio followed by workout 2 of level 4.

2 down, 4 to go!

I'm not sure if its even appropriate to write on here about this..but i'm sooooo excited about it. Today I bought new jeans a size smaller and 2 sizes smaller since I've started this journey! Its feels GREAT!!!

Well I didn't work out last night. But giving up one of my rest days this weekend to catch up. My goal is to have this finished by Thanksgiving so I dont have any more days to miss LOL...time to get it together!

Yay jenontherox welcome to week 4!!! Finished day 5 last night woo Hoo, one day left. I'm going out tonight after work do I think today will be my rest day. Tomorrow marks the end of my journey using this DVD.

Hi Sassy, Yes I have tried the toning dvd for zumba and I do like it better than the step by step & activate. But it is VERY different from Jillian and I'm wondering at this point if I will stick with it or not. But everyday zumba is becoming a little more fun, I suppose it's just all in learning the steps & learning/remembering what the instructors are doing in each DVD. Since I have so much weight to lose I know I need the cardio more than I do the resistance/strength of Jillian so I'm going to try to stick with the zumba for the 30 days i committed myself to. I'll probably do more Jillian when I get closer to my goal weight.

Yes indeed I could not agree with you more jerm1n!! Just finished day 4 of level 4... Feel great! I DVD the biggest loser show and tonight I watched it while jm DVD played on my lap top, nothing like being motivated by the folks on the show while doing your own workout!!

Level 4 day 1 done! Okay, not as hard as level 3 BUT still kicks major butt. It was a hell of a workout and I swear JM made my head hurt LOL. Was a little low on cals burned was was def due to learning all the moves.

There is a HUGE plus for me on this level and its her msg/speech at the end. Here I am in my living room trying to change and become a healthier, happier me. Even if no one else gets it, it was def a feeling at that moment that I wasn't alone in this struggle. Very encouraging words and I absolutely needed and appreciated it.

Thanks SIMPLYISH7399... did you try the zumba toning dvd yet? I keep seeing the infomercial for zumba and it looks good...but I'm so into Jillian's ways I fear I won't like it or stick with it. Keep us posted!

Last night was my day 3 of level 4! 3 more days to go them on to 6 week six pack...I'm excited can't wait :-)

Well on the second day of Zumba I skipped the step by step instruction DVD and went straight to the Activate Learn it... I did sweat a lil and the heart rate was up but NOTHING compared to R30. Today was day 3 Zumba and it was much the same. I still don't feel like I'm getting near the workout that I did with R30 and I think I like the structure of Jillian's and Biggest Loser workouts more than the randomness of these Zumba DVDs so far. I did preview the Toning Zumba DVD and its much more instructional and structured so I think I'm going to try it tomorrow instead of the activate... Still missing Jillian (never thought I'd say that! lol)

Simplyish - how do you feel when you do the Zumba? Like you are getting a good sweat going? I LOVE RI30 and this second time around with heavier weights is just the right increase in challenge for me. I do feel more endurance through the cardio portion though so that is great. I will be done wirth this right before christmas. Merry Xmas to me!!

WTG! Congrats! I started Zumba (the step by step dvd) and I miss Jillian already .. lol I wasn't greatly impressed with my weightloss during R30 but the inches lost were remarkable and just where they needed to come off! I'm going to try to stick it out with the Zumba but I am missing the challenges of R30 so far.

YAAY!! Done with Ripped in 30! I absolutely loved it with the exception of week 3. I feel much stronger and I am going to start over tomorrow using 5lb weights.

Thanks Simplyish. I think that you will really like Zumba, it is fun and a good sweat but not as intense as I like my workouts to be. VERY different than JM. Did week 4 again this morning and I liked it even more. Those scissor jumps and plyo hops are painful. My inner thighs are still screaming.

Good for you! Glad you like wk 4. I like it too, but it is bringing on the pain lol. I was trying to decide what to do for my next 30 day workouts (I switch things up every 30 days) and for four months I've wrestled with purchasing the Zumba Exhiliration because of the price. But I finally broke down and ordered it so after i finish R30 I think I'll try 30 days of Zumba. I know you will look AMAZING in your new hot dress by the time your party rolls around !!!

Started Week4 this morning and compared to week 3 I LOVE week 4!!! Not as crazy and intense as I thought it would be but good. I'll be back at again tomorrow. I am thinking that I will restart RI30 all over next week. I have one month until my company holiday party and this willbe the first year in 2 years that I won't be pregnant for it! Need a HOT dress! Night all. emoticon

Wk 3 really wreaked havoc on my knees, so I had to modify during the bear crawls, duck walk and those jacks. Wk 4 really gets the heart rate up there! Good Luck and can't wait to hear your impressions of WK4.

Finally completed RI30 !!!! Took me longer than 30 days, but I finished it yesterday, yeah!!! Now, onto TurboFire. We'll see if that gives me more results... If not, I'm gonna go back to RI30 with JM.

Finished Day 2 of week 4 last might. Man, for some reason I
Don't like this week. Frustrated a little because many of
These exercises are in Banish Fat Boost Metabolism
Which I have done 4-5 times before and it's a longer workout. And I barely finished! Will have to watch my diet more and be sure to cut sugar and add more protein. Even though Week 3 moves seemed harder I was amped and rocked days 6-8. This one had me fatigued but hoping again it maybe was due to diet.

Love the JM Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout and I also have two more.

I've now successfully completed 6 times through the week 4 workout! Still struggling with the chaturanga (sp) pushups but today finally made through all of the burpees without quitting. WOOHOO!

What's next? Any recommendations? I'm about to head off on a 3 week straight trip for work... I'm thinking to work my way back through weeks 3 and 4 workouts over that time period. Going to be hard to keep it going in hotels and every timezone under the sun but I'm going to try!

Kicked off week 4 this morning! Whoa Nelly! It kicked my rear but I was pleased to notice my progress - I kinda did alright! I could actually do all the moves and I felt GREAT at the end! We'll see what I have to say tomorrow when the soreness sets in... emoticon

So today is my last day with Ripped in 30. I'm kind of sad that I have to wait till next year for a new workout from JM. But I do have fat blast, boost your metabolism and body sculpt to do still. So I'm sure those two dvd's will keep me busy for at least a month each. But after that I think I might start 30 day shred again or no more trouble zones. Oh well I figure it out by then hopefully. Starting January I'm gonna start training for a 10k so wish me luck, because I have never ran 6 miles straight before. 4 miles has been the longest I have ever ran up to date. But whats two more miles!! lol I know I can do it I just have to get my mind prepared for it. N E who just wanted to check in!! smooches!! emoticon

It's me again!! I started level 4 this past saturday and man what a workout!! It wasn't necessarily hard but dang it kicked my butt!! I loved every minute of it. I had to take a break from it yesterday and I just ran only because I was so sore. I'm still sore, lol but I'm doing it tonight!! then I'm going to play some tennis with my bff. N e who just stopped in to update! smooches and lets work it peeps!! emoticon

I just finished my final week in level 4. I am down 4 pounds, and my clothes all fit great. I feel tighter around the middle and more pulled together. I didn't change my eating or anything else. I added it to my regular workouts, I give it a thumbs up. It was great, and I've become "one" with planks!! emoticon emoticon
