sometimes I just don't understand how some who have the ability to leave when a mandatory evac is issued they stay till they see the waters rise when they can't drive then they want to leave. I understand hey some don't want to leave their stuff and their memories...but those can be replaced...but a life can not....now I do understand some do not have the ability. They need contacts that I am sure they have access to, that they can use. You can not try to be TOO CAREFUL with this...I have been watching the news out of Philly most of the day. They showed one man standing on his porch....he came out because the news was there at first I am sure. He saw the waters covering the roadway and you could hear him say I am getting out of here......HMMMMMM
I've been watching the news from back home in Philly. They say they are expecting 8 to 10 inches of rain with 60-80 mph wind gusts....trying to keep up on that as I do have 2 sisters still living out that way......
What gets me is they said it may affect here as well. We may see some snow come Wednesday because of Sandy.....we shall see.

They had us all getting ready for a hugh 2-3 day hurricane in August. On the supposed 2nd day it rained for 5 minutes. Big whoop. Walmart sold out of water and batteries though so it was good for them.
If you want to be happy, desire and pursue happiness more for others than yourself, and your own well-being will take care of itself. Dedicate your weight-loss journey and the achievement of all your goals to someone else and think of them when times get tough.
Is there any weather any where else in the country? How many times can the Weather Channel repeat the same hyperbole? A record setting storm? Really?
And I feel so much better that all the men on the Weather Channel have their jackets off and their cuffs rolled up. I am *so* glad we have people like these on the job. And the pretty-boy "meteorologists" on the beaches in their LLBean jackets.
I feel safer already.
