And Chlamydia? Sheesh!

I've had two friends, both with rather large backsides (like me), whose maiden names were Butts and Rumppe, respectively. Needless to say, they took their husbands' names, regardless of any feminist sensibilities.

My soon to be mommy-in-law works at University Hospital in Syracuse, I have no idea how long ago this was, she's worked there for years, but this woman came in, gave birth to a baby girl and named her Chlamydia....

I almost didn't believe the story until I was listening to a radio show about terrible names, and a lady called in, who worked at the same hospital with the same story. The woman thought it was a beautiful name.

OH and a buddy of mine bought his old truck from Sharon Cox, nothing like being named chlamydia but still a rough title.

I went to school with Candace Barr. I was certain she'd have to be a stripper. Want a little more of this Candy Bar?
I also went to school with Promise Love B____, named after her sister's doll.
A friend of mine dated Ultra Violet G________.
And I kept my maiden name, mostly because I am proud of it, but also so I'm not Ms. Cox. I teach high school freshmen. I couldn't be Ms. COX.
My bil's best friend's last name was Boner.
And while my husband worked for an insurance company, he saw that a woman named her child Gonorrhea.
Currently I work with Dusty Rhodes. He's a nice old guy, but I just can't get over the name. I used to work with Mr. Hankie (all you South Park fans). I didn't know that was his name and overheard a couple of my students calling him that and was appalled! Then I was introduced and realized that he really did share his name with a fictional piece of talking poo. He even had a Mr. Hankie doll on his desk!

Favorite student quotes:

"Ms. Faz, you're like a muffin! Just warm and sweet and full of love!"

"I'm such a good cook, they call me Chef-Boy-Ar-Davidson!"

One of the advertising signs at a local football ground was for car piston makers called "Piston Broke"

That was probably how most of the footballers were the day after a win.

Loegaire, that's actually also the name of a famous mathematician -- Rudolf Lipschitz! Haha!

Hehe, math can be so dirty at times! With things like a "latus rectum", "Weiner sausages", a "smooth operator", "the Tits Group", the "Math. Ass. of America", and of course the fact that the square root of 69 is "eight something..."

So funny! I worked with a guy named Bobby Head! (Visual of poor guy unable to steady his cranium like a what? A bobble head doll!)
I also worked with a guy named Bob Ivy (RIP). Not a funny name, but he had this jacket with his initials monogrammed on the front "BI". Bless his heart, he never understood it when we said to him "Some of my best friends are, too."

A friend's brother once dated a girl named Mundy Mornin Mail. Parent's can be so cruel....

Not that her name was particularly funny, but a friend's parents wanted to name her Jo Anne. They opted for Joanne instead because their last initial was P and felt the initials JAP might be offensive or fodder for teasing. At least they were thinking things through!

I can't believe I forgot this one til now...our neighbors last name is Bang.

His nickname is Bing. I don't even know his first name, everyone just calls him Bing Bang.

He's 84, used to be a contractor, and downhill skis every day in the winter. He teaches skiing too. Bing Bang is amazing.

I don't know his wife's name though...

My ex knew a guy named Jack Dick.

But the funniest name thing I knew of were these 3 guys who shared a house in college. When you got their answering machine it said, "Hello, you have reached the Strong, Savage, Cox residence...." No joke!!

i feel sorry for people with first and last names the same like martin martin and matthew matthews. did the parents think they would forget their kid's name otherwise??

I have an employee who likes to mispronounce words on purpose. He says jalepenos with a J sound. He is wearing off on me because I said it at a restaurant once...oops!!! I like to say 'schedule' the british way because it sounds funny to me shhhhhhhhhedule.

And garbage? Prounounce it the french way GAR-baaaaaaaaage!! This is why I don't have kids, they would hate me! I'd probably name a girl Fanny Sniffer or something like that..

My husband just reminded me of our friends who named their kid Kaysa. That is okay, until you put "beer" after it or 'dilla' (quesadilla!!) Can you imagine what you could call the little chicky?

Storm for a boy though?? I can see it for a girl, storm or stormy

ZUZU!!! BABY!!!! HIIII!!!!!!! :)

A friend's sister (named Amber) named her daughter Stormy, had Amber as her middle name and her last name is Waters.

I used to wait tables with a guy named Colon. Every time someone tried to call him "Collin", he would correct them, "My name is CO-lon!" I personally would rather be called Collin than another word ofr sphincter...

Today our website had an order from Mrs. Kuntz. That's gotta hurt

In 5th grade our teacher was Mr. Storms. His first/middle name was North American and his brother, also a teacher was South American. What were their parents thinking?

One of our employees just had a baby and named him Storm.

Ooh ohh! I almost forgot! I took a class a couple years ago with Coral Beach and her sister is named Sandy!

Some of my personal favorites and these are real names folks:

Dr. Quack
Blessed Meekness
Latrina (who cares what the last name is, it's a feminine toilet, yuk)
Tierra Crown
Keith A. Boom (you have to do the initials on this one, KABoom)

That's what happens when you work in HR, you get all kinds of material :~)

A sort-of friend of ours named his daughter Candace. Their last name is Kraven. They call her Candy.

"Yeah, baby, I'm Kraven some Candy! Bring that hot little bootie over here so I can put a buck in that butt floss!"

Has anyone ever wondered what Detective Munch's first name is (on Law & Order)? Oh, the POSSIBILITIES, people!!

When I was a teenager I used to do a lot of piano competitions, and there was always this really nice guy there (good pianist, too) named Clayton Klutts.

By the way, a few years back my best friend's young son was seeing two doctors: a urologist for a UT problem, and a psychiatrist for ADD and related issues. His urologist was named Dr. Weiner and his psychiatrist was named Dr. Looney. No kidding.

I was knew a girl name Patricia Hooker. Ok, so her first name isn't that bad but the last name, oh my.

We had a co-worker at my office who's name is Willie Showen. We razed him a couple of times about it too. Poor thing, real nice fella too.

I used to know a guy named Dallas. His last name was Texas, and his brothers were named Houston and Austin. My buddy went by "Chip", and tended to get a little worked up about his dad's sense of naming humor...
