Pam, the first year I added strength training, I lost two clothing sizes without loosing a single pound on the scale. Since then, I've lost 7% of my body fat and have actually gained 3 pounds. I'll take it, because the gain is all muscle. Test show I've lost quite a few pounds of fat, to be replaced by muscle. The scale can't tell the difference.

Okay this isn't weight but it still applies...

I just took my measurements. I haven't really been tracking that or my weight lately, my focus has been on marathon training and just trying to eat right.

The last time I measured I was 19 inches down.
Today I'm down 21.5 inches!

Apparently I'm changing my body composition because my weight hasn't budged all month.

UPDATE:
I'm 6.4 lbs under my pre-baby weight now. My new goal is to lose 20.4 more lbs from the weight I am today. I may try to go down more later but for now, that's my goal.

I had a baby just under 9 months ago. I've got 5.4 lbs to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight which was already overweight (172 lbs). With my current plan I hope to be down in the 150's by the time I get to my marathon in September. I may not because I want to give my body enough fuel to get me through the tough training schedule and marathon itself but I'm hoping to go down a little more before then.

My ultimate weight goal is to get down to 135-140.

I was hoping to lose some weight while training for the Akron Half Marathon, but I think I just eat what I have burned off:( Trying to watch what I eat now!!! Would have loved to drop about 15 before the race would be happy now with 5.

Urggghhh I seem to be gaining at the moment instead of losing. All my own fault I know, been pretty careless about choices and only half heartedly tracking. Got to have a little chat with myself and turn this around.

Ever since I began to run 3.5 weeks ago....I've dropped a pond every week! I'm ecstatic! Lol!

My weigh-in this week is 150. ( ( I'm headed to 140-ville!! ) )

I usually weigh in on Saturday with another team...so I can come back here and update my progress every week.

Going into April, I've reached 45 weeks of maintaining. I can say that tracking my nutrition and strength training helped a lot in my weight goal but going through the walk/jog, and running programs really got my metabolism going. It's the primary reason I continue to run and love it. If I hadn't broken myself down, I'd be doing Halfs at regular intervals but now I'm embracing 5Ks & !0Ks until the end of summer when I do another Half. I do know I will never be overweight again!

I reached my goal weight, 170, on May 16, 2011. Since then, I've been on successful maintenance. I've gone+ - 3 pounds max in the last nine months. Now that I love to run, I'm open to positive changes.I continue to train but will experiment with my fuel so we'll see where it goes. I do not foresee having any negative weight problems and I'm thankful for that.

Well I stayed in a nice plateau for Feb, which is good for the end of marathon taper. I hope to see a 2 pound loss by the end of March.

I've been a disaster! I got back on the balanced diet plan a week ago, but don't feel that there have been any changes. At least judging by my clothing which is what I usually rely on because scales make me crazy.

I've got to take this one day at a time.

Since I ramped up my overall fitness program I have lost a few unwanted winter pounds and lost some inches. Funny how that works. I have gone from 131 to 129. Woot!

If anyone is interested in tracking their weight I thought I'd try a sticky. This is something I still need to work on. I'll be weighing tomorrow morning.

I'll keep it as a sticky if we have others who are interested.
