Sounds like a good goal for your family and for me, too. I will do my very best to rid my home and family of junk food and remember to log in here with updates. I often need a challenge to keep me on track.

That is an awesome family goal. And it is true that we need to mindful eaters to succeed. I am with you on the personal challenge! I have a trip AND a wedding in 2012 and I am gonna be "picture" worthy!!!! Today was a rough day for me, but I am within my calories, so let';s make this happen.

A couple of my family members have decided they want to start eating better and decided to eliminate most of the junk food from the diet for 6 weeks. Ha, I cheated three times the first day. But now I am serious... why do I want to continue to put things into my body that I know are not good for me??
I did well on day 2, except for the mints given at the end of a restaurant meal - I popped them into my mouth without thinking. So, I realize I need to focus on mindful eating, that is, being aware of everything I put in my mouth.
