Haha! I like that.
The other day, someone called me a "necro-threader". I had no idea what that was, I had to look it up. Apparently, it's when you "resurrect" a dead thread by posting on it ages after people have stopped posting. *shrug* It seemed such a good thread. I never notice how long it's been since someone posted. I figured it was still interesting.

I will be tracking my food daily, and being within calorie range at least 5/7 days each week. I will also exercise 5 or 6 times a week (cardio), and do my strength training 2-3 times a week.

Routine as follows:

Mondays - track food, cardio, strength training (full body workout)
tracked food, within range (woot!), and did cardio (36 minutes gazelle), no ST today

Tuesdays - track food and cardio
Wednesdays - track food and cardio
Thursdays - track food, cardio, and ST
Fridays - rest day
Saturdays - track food, cardio, and ST
Sundays - track food and cardio

Okay folks. Summer challenge time.

And you all get to customize it to your own fitness level and/or preferences.

You have a choice of:
OPTION (1) posting to the daily accountability thread (found here: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_mes

*OR*

OPTION (2) choosing one of the following challenges:
a) get your fruits and veggies in - get at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day ("freggies"). If you are not getting anywhere near this yet, build up slowly, otherwise, you may have a bit of a problem with gas.

b) eat within your sparkpeople calorie range, or stick to whatever plan you are using (Curves, Weight Watchers, etc.).

c) cardio challenge - exercise for at least 3 times a week - doing anything cardio related - swimming, running, walking, dancing, jogging, aerobics, biking, etc. - for at least 30 minutes. If you are no where near this number of minutes, remember to build up slowly to prevent injury. But 10 - 15 minutes a day is a good minimum for beginners.

d) strength training - get in 2-3 days of strength training a week, if you do full body workouts, or do a part of the body each day - just remember not to exercise the same body area on back to back days to prevent injury. For example, if you workout abs and core on Monday, don't do core again on Tuesday, but do upper or lower body instead. Return to core/abs on Wednesday or Thursday.

Feel free to combine these challenges and do as many you as you like.

As my summer holidays don't start until June 28, I don't consider summer to have started until then. Therefore, the challenge will run from May 12 - June 30.
