Doing good on water & food intake. But I feel bad all my hubby wanted from me today was a haircut and we didn't get it done! Bummer! At least I did do the dishes, so that's something right!

That's a shame about the jerky, Missy, but well done on everything else!

STRESSFUL - those most certainly do count!

I am going to work on getting my 8 glasses of water a day. Plus more cardio every day 15-30 mins. I would also like to have more fruit & veggies in my diet, I have been working on increasing that. So this will help me.

On the spouse part, I (we) really need this! I am going to bounce around the list so not to get repitive. Plus it will spice things up. We were getting a little to same o same o. We also have 2 young boys so that makes it harder but I want to show my boys what good relationships, marrages, are. So this is great!!
Thank You!!
~Missy

PS- for today, I got in some water on track to get my 8. I've already called my hubby just to tell him I love him. I tried to get him his favorite jerky, but it was $10 just to get into the place that 'might' of had it. So unfortuntaly I didn't get any! Bummer!

thanks for sending out the email. I am in. I have really been working on getting in my 8 glasses of water again and started going to a fitness center. I am so enjoying that when I can get there, is hard to do with 2 little ones sometimes. Also taking the stairs each call at work instead of the elevator.
I am working this weekend so won't be home till tomorrow night to see my dh, but I did leave him a note on the pillow before I left and I have called him each day to say I love you. Hope this all counts.

I've just managed to log on today. Didn't have time yesterday, but yesterday I did cook my hubby one of his favourite dinners, and I rub his head, not his back, he loves that. So I will be joining and focusing on the cooking, the cuddling and the loving.

So count me in folks.

What a wonderful idea!
That definitely counts as it is the exact thing I was going for with the 'spouse challenge'.

Sorry, I just now read this, but I have been working on getting more protein. I struggle with that and eating more fruits/veggies.

My hubby is in Afghanistan so writing love letters is a given. I will tell you what I have done and maybe it will count for all the way to Valentines day. We have figured out that it takes 14-16 days for us to receive the snail mail we send each other. So 15 days before Feb 1st I started sending a card, they were all funny, but all had either sexual innuendos or they were about how I miss him. I wrote on the back of the envelope the date for which each card is intended because chances are he will not receive them on the exact date, but he will get the idea. I have three left to send and of course the one meant for Feb 14th is the sweet, loving one.

Thanks for the challenge!

I have exercised everyday and had 10 glasses of water everyday. Everyday part of my exercise I do with my husband. Also spent time with him making healthy meals for all of us.

I struggle with sleep. I am trying to work on that right now.

Also, I am continuing with my challenges from other teams to drink my water, do cardio consistently, and strength train a few times each week.

I have done #5 (I complimented my dh on the exams he makes up - he is so detailed and organized; quite different than some teachers' I've seen!). I also helped him with marking the exams (flipping pages for him, double-checking the addition on the final marks), twice in the last two days.

I made him some tea when he had a late-night marking session. He has gone ice fishing for the weekend while I look after things at home by myself. It is a sacrifice, but it is worth it to have a refreshed, happy spouse when he gets home!

I think no one else wants to join, or else they don't realize we are doing this. I think I will send a team email.

Ok for me
1/25, 1/26, 1/27 I got my eight glasses of water and 30 minutes or more of exercise. Yesterday I did my off day of exercise but got my water in and veggies. As for the hubby I have been doing small things for him on and off but will try to do better. So busy with the kids hear lately that it's just hard for both of us to make the time.

I did some of a back rub last night because the kids were working with my sister on going over for their test and little one won't leave her Aunt Sandy. That also give us some time to talk. Can't call him at work because he can't have phone calls. I got my two things in then yesterday with hubby and got my eight waters in along with 45 minutes of WATP dvd's. I pray today goes as well.

And remember, some of the spouse things take only a few minutes (a quick dance in the livingroom, a hand of cards together, calling him at work to say you love him, etc.).

Ok CJ I will participate in the top and try to do the bottom ones with Greg. Very hard for us to do with three children constantly yelling Mom or Dad do this or my sister is doing this and so on. I have gotten 15 minutes of cardio done today and plan on getting the water back in as well. I will also try to work on the fruits and veggies too. Good luck all.

We have 20 days until Valentine's Day, and this being the Married Life Team, I thought we could incorporate both our married life and our physical health into a challenge for those 20 days.

Physical Health:
To improve our physical health, anyone participating in this challenge needs to pick two items and work on them for the next 20 days. If you cannot think of anything to work on, here are some suggestions:

* drinking more water every day (up to 8 glasses or more)
* exercising for at least 15 minutes daily
* strength training (3 exercises 2-3 times a week)
* getting enough sleep (7-8 hours per night)
* taking time for YOU (doing something you enjoy - 15 minutes per day)
* eating more fruits/vegetables
* eating more whole grains
* eating less sodium
* getting in the right amount of nutrients that you usually struggle with (for example, protein)

Married Life:
Pick two things to do for or with your spouse every day for the next 20 days.

Need ideas?
1. write your spouse a love letter
2. give your spouse a back rub
3. engage in an outdoor activity together (walk, sporting activity, snowball fight, etc.)
4. do something around the house or yard that he or she would normally do
5. compliment your spouse sincerely, honestly, and positively about something they do well
6. engage in an indoor activity together (board game, watching a movie together, etc.)
7. give your spouse a gift that you made (card, knick-knack, knitted sweater, whatever)
8. have a no TV evening and play cards, sit and talk, listen to music together instead
9. find a book you both think you'll enjoy and take turns reading it aloud to each other
10. do something to make your spouse's job/day easier
11. make your spouse's favourite healthy meal or snack for them
12. pray for your spouse (or, if that is not part of your belief system - send positive thoughts of some kind to them)
13. buy something for your spouse (has to cost less than $5.00)
14. engage in an intimate activity with your spouse
15. encourage your spouse in some aspect of a healthy lifestyle
16. make up a sexy story together - one starts, the other continues, the first continues, etc. Act it out when you are finished!
17. phone your spouse (or email) to tell them you love them
18. buy new underclothes and model them for your spouse
19. dance together in the livingroom
20. give each other "me time" to do something you enjoy - take the kids to the park or a movie or offer to do the supper cleanup or laundry so he or she can spend time on a hobby or go to the gym, etc. A happy spouse is a loving, attentive spouse!
21. look at the stars together
22. light candles all over the room and just sit and watch the flickering light together
23. leave little notes around the house for your spouse to find throughout the day
24. hold hands whenever you are together today
25. whisper sweet nothings in each other's ears
26. spend time just kissing like you used to
27. feed each other something sensual like ripe fruit

Post in here, telling us the 2 ML things you will be doing, and which physical health things you will be focusing on.

Keep track and update your original post as the days go by.

Any member who stays with the challenge until the end will earn a goodie!
