Well done with the weight loss!

Good question about where the fat is coming from. I bet it's from a place that we are not measuring. You're not doing a measurement below. We aren't measuring stomach either (between waist and bust). Calf? Ankle?

Also, maybe you are holding the tape measure looser than before?

I'm sure it doesn't matter though. Your body is re-defining itself and perhaps all the work is on the inside right now, and soon you will lose on specific areas.

Seriously, I agree that it would be better if it was all an exact science. We talk about that on my other teams. People say it is just calories in/calories out, but it sure doesn't always work that way!

I really don't know. I wish the way a body loses weight and reshapes was a perfect science so you could know what is going on. I do know that I have not been pulling tighter on the measure tape though. I did it several times just to make sure cause it didn't make sense to me. I do know my clothes fit looser than they used to, so that is a great feeling. I hope by the end of this week the scale goes down, I am sick of seeing it go up and down like a yo-yo!

As you work out, maybe you are redefining your body shape?

Or are you holding the measuring tape tighter some days than others?

Or, you may be retaining water from working out hard, and will lose it soon as your body gets used to it.

Actually, taking my calf measurement, which I forgot to do this morning, I am out this week. My bum went down half an inch, but my calves went up (I tried a new strength training exercise for calves and I did cardio with my legs each day this week).

Well done to everyone!

STRESSFULL - me too. I gained weight but lost an inch in my measurements.

Not so good this week. I totally deviated from my workout routine and did different stuff and obviously not enough, along with my eating I did not make the wisest decisions some of the week. I gained in weight, but did lose a little on inches in 2 areas. This next week is about refocusing!

I am going to have to weigh in on Sunday instead of Saturday as I am going away for a short break on Thursday. I hope this is ok. What I need is all your fingers cross for me so that I won't eat or drink too much. Its all free so I its going to be really hard.
