I'm worried the computer will crash on me, so I hope I've done this correctly in my rush to do it all.

With 90 points BALLOFOIL got less than our top finishers this week - BUT, I am giving her a very very special mention (with a blue ribbon)

Okay - so I just re-read my own instructions and realized that if someone gets all 3 challenges in one day, they get a bonus of 5 points each day they do all 3. *sheesh* I can't even read my own stuff!

Hi JanaLee! You did so well this week! Good for you! I see you have the opposite difficulty than me with the calories - you get too few some days, I tend to go over.

I think I may not have been very clear in my instructions at the bottom - but getting our calorie range AND water in one day equals 5 points for the day. I'll just adjust your numbers to reflect that (and anyone else's that counted that way).

I don't know if I'll be able to tally today (my computer is being ornery lately and keeps crashing for no apparent reason. We badly need a new one - must go shopping for one even!

Challenge yourself - Not much today. I was out a lot and ate two meals out. In the past, I really would have blown the calories and 'given up' on the day. I fought temptation all day and went over calories, but not hughly. Also, bypassed all desserts (my weakness) and got my fruits and veggies in.

I have a question on the me time part... I live an hour from work so I spend 2 hours on the road each day and half of that is spent on the highway with my cruise set and the music jamming. Can I count that as me time since it is relaxing to me? I mean the other half of my driving is spent in stop/go traffic and is very stressful!

Yeah. I finally understand. Sorry for being soooo slow. ;)
Um. I'm not sure. As part of the challenge is already getting within the calorie range that SP recommends, I was hoping we could do some sort of physical/cardio or strength challenge for the challenge yourself thing.

Does that work for you?
The food/water will be your calorie challenge and then do something for your activity health as well.

CJ, My biggest problem is I snack all the time...mostly on things like celery, carrots, other fresh fruit and veggies. I probably eat about 10 times a day but a lot of it is empty calories. I know I have a real problem with that. I snack so much then I can't eat what I am suppose to like breads, meats, etc. That's why I asked if I could use that as a challenge. My calorie range is 1200 to 1500. I just have a hard time getting there. That's why my metabolism is so slow and I have plateaud repeatedly.

Don't forget to put your OWN calorie range you guys (except for TeeTee of course, as you've already put yours). I just put mine at the top there to fill it in as an example. I'm sure everyone's is different as we are all different weights and have different activity levels.

And Bridget, I saw your comment, it does have to be between the range for you. Too little is just as detrimental as too much to a healthy lifestyle.

Personal Time - went to the church at lunch time and prayed for a full 20 minutes by myself. It was lovely and peaceful and quiet!

Challenge yourself - did not only my regular 30 modified push-ups for my strength training today, but added 30 wall push-ups as well. Also, did double my usual crunches total! Woo-hoo!

Hello again! It's time to switch over our challenge and work on something new this week. We've gone back to basics and eaten a rainbow.

This week we will be doing a Three-in-One! Once again, this idea originally came from Zircadia who is chock full of sensational ideas! She's the best!

To get points for Food+Water you must be within your calorie range AND get a minimum 8 cups of water.

To receive points for Personal Time, you must give yourself 15 minutes of alone time in the day. Whether it be reading, personal meditation, relaxing in the bathtub, whatever. It does not have to be 15 consecutive minutes, but I'm asking for at least FIVE MINUTES each time. (So like if you are a busy busy busy, you can do 3- 5 minute meditation sessions throughout the day to refocus and refresh and still get points.)

For Challenge Yourself -- I want you to get a personal best. If you're not sure what you're last best was, just guess, but this is for your fitness endeavours.

For example - if last time you walked a mile it took you 20 minutes, aim for less this time. If you could do biceps curls with 5lb weights last time, try a heavier weight this time -- or go for more reps! Or if the longest you could run before was for 5 minutes, try to run for 6 minutes. It doesn't matter what the task is, but the point is to challenge yourself! You can even improve upon the same action throughout the week if you want.
That's all there is to it - stay within calorie ranges, drink your water, get some 'me-time', and challenge yourself physically every day!

And if you don't manage all three in the same day, at least we can hope we'll be getting some of each in throughout the week and that will still help contribute to our success in all three areas. :)
