We didn't have as many people participating as I thought we would, but I guess some found it difficult to interest others in their healthy lifestyle!

Hopefully, this month's mileage challenge will prove easier for some, as it's all you and no one else to depend on!

Congratulations to all who stuck it out and racked up minutes the whole month.
emoticon emoticon emoticon
Anyway, without further ado, here are this month's winners.

*drum roll please*

Honourable mentions go to those who totalled at least 200 minutes for the month.
We had two members to reach that goal:

*RENEAT* - with 293 minutes
and
FBRUNNER6 - with 240 minutes

In 6th place:
BALLOFOIL - 420 minutes

In 5th place:
MASHELDON - 660 minutes

4th goes to:
CJBAGGINS (who is that? what a strange username) - 716 minutes

And the top 3 finishers were:

With the bronze trophy:

emoticon
WYLDCAT with 763 minutes

Silver goes to:
emoticon
BABIEJANE with and impressive near 900 minutes (897)

emoticon

Hey newcomers! Welcome to the challenge! I realize some will be starting after everyone else, but no worries. Maybe I'll have different levels of winners at the end - the 'old-timers' and newcomers or something.

Keep moving!!
Kmexico - so sorry your attempt at being more active with your mother didn't work out. (no pun intended there) Walking with your son is great, too, though.
And honeylou1 - I love your personal challenge!

Just started today...I walked 60 minutes with my son David. We went to the park and I watched him play handball...a personal goal I am setting for myself is that I would love to whoop his butt! lol

I just saw this challenge, so I'm late getting a start, but yesterday I encouraged my mother to do some strength training with me. It didn't go so well, but I guess I can count those 15 minutes of frustration. :) I'll have to go back and add up the time I spent walking with my son this month.

Thanks for the fun challenge!

I think once you start tracking that will change but enter your minutes then go back and see what it says.

I would go for the running tally because if quite a bit of you post you will have to scroll quite a ways to find it. Each time you post put your new total and the current date beside it for CJ and that will really help her out. I am definitely in with this one. I have gotten back into my exercise finally and my kids do my tapes with me and also walk with me everywhere I go so I am ready for this challenge. Make it a great summer and challenge.

I prefer if members post one message and edit it each time they have something to add as it is easier for me to tabulate results at the end of the month. However, I understand if it is easier for some to record things with more posts. Feel free to do what works best for you. If possible, though, keep a running tally on your page to make the job of adding up easier for me later. Thanks!

I'll be using this 'form' when I post. You may copy and paste if you like:

Week one - minutes.
Week two - minutes.
Week three - minutes.
Week four - minutes.
Running total for cjbaggins - minutes.

Come one, come all Married Life Team members!

It's June tomorrow which means that it is time for our June Challenge.
We are still in our quarterly challenge to fit into those bathing suits and swimming trunks, so we are getting moving this month to help us slim down and tone up!

All Married Life Team members and their families are invited this month to take part between June 1 and June 30. This is a cardio challenge and I want to get everyone moving!

Rules:
Record all fitness activities done this month that can be counted as cardio exercise. This means that any activity that gets your heart rate up and your lungs working. This usually involves the use of your large muscle groups in your legs and arms. If you are unsure what constitutes a cardio exercise, simply SparkMail a leader of the Team, or check out your fitness trackers where you will see many activities and exercises listed. Common ones include walking, swimming, biking, running, aerobics, step machines, ellipticals, spinning classes, etc.

Here's the catch - ONLY cardio exercise done WITH YOUR SPOUSE OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER can be counted for the challenge. That means that a walk with hubby - counts. Walk alone - doesn't count. Golf with your brother - counts. Aerobic tape by yourself, doesn't count, but that same tape done with your infant daughter 'helping' while she's in the baby carrier - counts.

You may only count minutes once. So if you go biking with your spouse and 5 children for 60 minutes, you get to count 60 minutes, not 60 minutes x 5!

Added part of challenge:
This month is the anniversary of the beginning of the Married Life Team!
Therefore, you may add this part if you wish - using the nutrition tracker, calculate how much your family's favourite celebration dessert is worth calorie-wise, and burn that amount as a family every day, every week, or what have you.

Good luck and let's get moving. Beach weather is right around the corner, let's be ready!!
