Come one, come all Married Life Team members!
It's June tomorrow which means that it is time for our June Challenge.
We are still in our quarterly challenge to fit into those bathing suits and swimming trunks, so we are getting moving this month to help us slim down and tone up!
All Married Life Team members and their families are invited this month to take part between June 1 and June 30. This is a cardio challenge and I want to get everyone moving!
Record all fitness activities done this month that can be counted as cardio exercise. This means that any activity that gets your heart rate up and your lungs working. This usually involves the use of your large muscle groups in your legs and arms. If you are unsure what constitutes a cardio exercise, simply SparkMail a leader of the Team, or check out your fitness trackers where you will see many activities and exercises listed. Common ones include walking, swimming, biking, running, aerobics, step machines, ellipticals, spinning classes, etc.
Here's the catch - ONLY cardio exercise done WITH YOUR SPOUSE OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER can be counted for the challenge. That means that a walk with hubby - counts. Walk alone - doesn't count. Golf with your brother - counts. Aerobic tape by yourself, doesn't count, but that same tape done with your infant daughter 'helping' while she's in the baby carrier - counts.
You may only count minutes once. So if you go biking with your spouse and 5 children for 60 minutes, you get to count 60 minutes, not 60 minutes x 5!
Added part of challenge:
This month is the anniversary of the beginning of the Married Life Team!
Therefore, you may add this part if you wish - using the nutrition tracker, calculate how much your family's favourite celebration dessert is worth calorie-wise, and burn that amount as a family every day, every week, or what have you.
