Try using Greek Yogurt. You could use vanilla flavored for the layers or plain sweetened with Stevia. I would also use twice the berries.

Michele, I used to make trifle a lot years ago, it's great when fresh berries are in season and it always looks so pretty in a trifle bowl. It's an old English desert with many variations. Try goggling it to see if you could find a recipe you like better. It's usually made with lady fingers but I like the angle food version. Although I don't like most ingredients in fake substitutes you could use cool whip, or just go for low fat pudding and skip the whipping cream.
Good luck and let us know what you end up doing.

Towards the bottom, it does say that you can use angel food cake instead of pound cake to cut some calories. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you could substitute for the heavy cream. Maybe use no sugar pudding. Just my thoughts.

"You have to find something that you love enough to be able to take risks, jump over the hurdles and break through the brick walls that are always going to be placed in front of you. If you don't have that kind of feeling for what it is you are doing, you'll stop at the first giant hurdle."
Check out this recipe. Does anyone have any tips/hints as to how I can make this lower in calories and/or fat? My niece-in-law sent it to me but as it is there's no way I'd eat this.
