You are worth having a healthy body!
This is a lifestyle change to be healthy, not a diet and not a sprint to get there.. one day at a time, one pound at a time.. as long as it takes, starting again as often as possible.
from Southern California - my best advice is BABY STEPS - don't try to make giant changes or change 'everything' [or even a lot of things] all at once because that's a recipe for failure - pick some small healthy habits to incorporate [tracking food, drinking water, walking 30 minutes once or twice a day, etc] and when those feel like true 'habits' and NORMAL for you, add another habit or two - that way you will build a healthy lifestyle and sustain any weight loss - the people who crash diet and lose a lot of weight in a hurry tend to lose muscle and bone along with the fat, which in turn causes them to put the weight right back on when they stop 'dieting' - but the 'new weight' they gain after dieting is all fat so it's harder to slim down the next time. Remember that the scale is only ONE INDICATOR and we could 'lose weight fast' just by cutting off a leg if the scale was the only important indicator - but obviously that's not the best way to 'lose weight' even tho the scale would show a much smaller number and the only way to lose FAT permanently is to do it slowly, one healthy habit at a time. So - BABY STEPS!!!

Just take it one day at a time & know that you WILL have good days & bad days and that the bad days are OK, too. It's a learning process to find what works for YOU. What works for one doesn't work for everyone, neccessarily.
I do find that tracking is KEY, tho. "Write before you bite."
