This is a question I have been asking for years. Digestion requires active muscle contractions and digestive enzymes to move food through the system and out. We see them eating large volumes of people but they should only be able to put in until their stomach has stretched to the maximum and then they would have a GI obstruction. The best answer I have heard on this issue is that they might actually rupture their stomach and then everything can just fall out into the abdomen, and as their tissue rots and holes form in the abdomen, they can drop it back out on the ground in the same condition that it went in. So there wouldnt be zombie patties around but instead just chewed up body parts.
