HI! I'm definitely ready for some new short term goals. Tomorrow is a new month and I will soon be on summer break from work. I'm planning on working hard this summer to lose the last 10 lbs. I can't seem to move forward with my weight loss goals. I know that I'm an emotional eater and these issues keep me stuck. Also, I tend to avoid fruits & veggies; preferring carbs and dairy. I do like whole grains and eat those regularly. So, I'm working on a list of low cal meals that I can select from this summer. I want to stick with these foods for the first 3-4 weeks; then, maintain while on vacation the last week of June.

Hey Everybody! The 6 months between the end of Season 10 and beginning of Season 11 will be a perfect time for us all to concentrate on what brought us here to Sparkpeople to begin with--our desire for healthier, fitter, longer, and more fulfilling lives.
So, here's a place for us for post whatever we want to say about our goals. Sparkpeople recommends creating short term goals as we move through our journey toward longterm achievement. If you're new to the program, it's time to create your first set of shortterm goals, whether it be drinking your 8 glasses of water, parking farther away from the office in the morning, getting 8 hours of sleep, etc.
For those of us in the deep throes of our programs, maybe we're ready for some NEW shortterm goals. And for those who have achieved greatness...and are already there...this might be a good place for you to talk about some of your experiences in getting there, and what worked for you!
When you feel like quitting....think about why you started.
